ZYLPHA POV

TAHIMIK lang kaming tatlo sa loob ng elevator, habang hinihintay namin kung kailan ito bubukas. Walang sinuman sa kanila ni Thalassa at Rui o sa akin ang bumasag sa katahimikan na bumalot sa amin. Kanina pa ako nag-iisip kung bakit na sabi 'yon ni Thalassa. "Liar, you're the owner of this company." Maybe because of my action showing them, or maybe she noticed something that she immediately realized.

"Tsk!" I tsked without myself.

"Something in your mind, Young Miss?" tanong ni Rui na hindi tumingin sa akin.

Medyo nasa unahan si Rui at nasa tabi niya ako habang nasa likuran ko naman si Thalassa na kanina pa tahimik simula noong pumasok kami sa elevator.

I look at him, "Huh?" I realized what I did.

"What's in your mind?" ngayon tumingin na si Rui sa akin. "Are you still thinking about what happened earlier?"

I hesitate, "Rui...ahmm...—" hindi ko natuloy ang sasabihin ko ng magsalita si Thalassa pero ang boses niya ay malamig na walang buhay.

"Are you....really...the owner of this company?"

Sabay kaming napalingon ni Rui sa kanya, hindi siya nakatingin sa akin kundi naka-yuko ang ulo niya.

"H.G.C...Hendrix Genetics Company, isn't it right?" doon umangat ang tingin niya sa akin. "No doubt, you're caring and loving but you hate my Kianu."

I hesitate, "T-Thalassa..."

"Don't worry, sister. I'll just pretend I don't know who the heir of this company is and I won't tell Professor Harrison about you two either," tumingin si Thalassa kay Rui. "Even though you fool us. I know you've a deep reason behind doing this, don't it?"

Thalassa was sympathetically aware of other people's feelings; tolerant and forgiving.

I smiled at her, "No doubt, you're good judgment. You think first before you speak." Now, mas lalo akong kinain ng konsensya sa ginawa ko sa kanya.

Hayst.

"We're here," kasabay ng sinabi ni Rui 'yon din ang pag tunog ng elevator at pagbukas ng pinto.

It's been a year since I became part of the agency, now I'm stepping into the company again. I miss my office.

"Let's go?" inimwestro ni Rui ang kamay niya, para bang sinasabi niyang 'ladies first'.

Tumango ako sabay hawak ng kamay ni Thalassa at sabay na kaming lumabas ng elevator. I heard Thalassa groaning that she was amazed how beautiful my office was.

"I never thought that you've a big company and you're the heiress of the Hendrix Genetics company."

Yeah, you never thought that 'cause I'm a simple woman.

Dumiritso na kami sa loob ng office at agad na may kinuha si Rui habang si Thalassa ay masaya na lumapit doon sa magarbong mahabang sofa at walang sabing humiga agad. "Ah, so soft!"

I smile because of Thalassa. Napalingo-lingo na lang ako saka ako lumapit sa table kung saan ang pwesto ko noon. Nasa table ko parin ang isang family picture namin at ang isa ay kasama na si Rui. At first glance the picture was a beautiful family picture, a happy family picture, but behind that it was miserable, lonesome.

They're busy with work and they don't have time for me. Only Rui took the time for me, Rui took care of me and he was the first to support me since I joined the agent industry.

He never stops me from what I want to do, everything I do he is there, he supports me and he cares for me. Even though he was worried because he knows how very risky that kind of job is, he was confident. He knows my capacity, strengths and weaknesses that all of that I can and I can.
