Veronica watched the meeting as she watched Mr Ross discuss business specifically with the men and not really addressing her.
"So for the design i want to know what colours is eye catching and isn't dull. We want to show power in just the title alone. Any recommendations?"
No one stood up or even looked in Mr Ross direction
"I believe Miss Calhoun has some good ideas." My eyes widened as my head snapped to Mr Tate.
All heads looked at me, I looked at them quite shocked that I was even getting this much attention.
I clear my throat while standing up and collecting my folder.
"I believe we should use the colours Gold and Green be-"
"Gold and Green sounds like a terrible combination I couldn't even imagine what that would like"
"Well I don't see any of you speaking up so please let me speak without any of your interruptions or do you have a different proposal"
The man looked at the Veronica with a shocked yet angry expression at her questioning him like that.
"As I was saying I believe Gold and Green would be a great combination. Think about it the back ground being green could show how rich the company is, screaming money for clients that want to take interest." She watched as everyone nodded in agreement as she continued.
"The Gold for Gallington will clearly be in bold and in a sharp front nothing to delicate you want it to look blunt. It's a way of expression to clients to get straight to the point and not to dibble dabble."
She took her seat eyeing everyone this time today she was gonna put her foot down she will do a great job following her mother advice but this time not be taken for a fool.
Clap clap clap, she looked up not only seeing her original boss clap but her new one.
Well done miss Calhoun I like it and I accept it that will be the new font for Gallington.
"But sir-"
"There there Harris, no need to say anything else I'm going with it.
That's right fucker he said he is going with mine. Veronica couldn't help but grin at Harris seeing the look of annoyance on his face.
" I must say Mr Ross you were right it seems like miss Calhoun does have a talent and is a good assistant"
Veronica slightly gaped at mr Tate for him publicly praising her.

Now back at the office she watched as her boss went to his drawer and brought out a pack of files
She was quite perplexed wondering what he was doing with those.
"This is your new assignment I want this done by tomorrow"
Her smile she had was immediately wiped off when she heard what he said
"Excuse me what" she asked bewildered
"Is there a problem with this task miss Calhoun hmm, maybe I praised you too early.
Ahmad watched as she stood stiff he wondered why she looked as if she got told the worst news
From Veronica's point of view she thought she would have a seat of watching HER IDEA being brought to life. She wanted to say something but even she didn't know how to tell him with the way her boss was staring at her as if she had two-heads.
"Um no sir don't worry this will be done by tomorrow "
Maybe she was being dramatic they will be probably call her when they start the project all she needed to do was wait.

1 week later
Veronica was fuming through out this entire week she was noticed as people would ask for advice and to get a second opinion but when it came to executing the plan no one even called her in.
"You've been doing well for the past week I must say you are turning this project around"
Veronica couldn't help but roll her eyes at him while gathering her work. She had a feeling that he was the reason why nothing was actually going her way.
He would always praise her but still leave her in the mud and she was close to her breaking point.
Ahmad noticed her eye roll and it confused him but he still kept his face neutral but decided to press the matter.
" Alright miss Calhoun you have in a mood all week care to share the matter."
"Ibetyourprobablythereasonwhyimnotintheproject" She mumbled while finished packing the paper work and labelling the them."
Ahmad raised hey eyebrow while leaning on his desk
"Care to repeat that without sounding like a child."
Veronica stopped what she is doing and gave him a glare with straight eye contact " I said, I bet your the reason why I'm not on the project, and me acting like a child don't get me started when you love to praise yet you will give me more stupid paper work that exact same day." She exclaimed releasing deep breathes
"I'm not Taunting you, I'm genuinely telling you good job which you should be appreciating since I hardly ever compliment my clients." He said while standing up placing his hand on his desk."
"Oh boohoo do you want a reward just admit it so we can get this over with." She said with arms crossed
This time Ahmad honestly was genuinely confused on what she was talking about.
She noticed his confused look and just decided to say it.
" Just say you have been sabotaging me because of me pouring coffee on you and calling you an asshole. I must say that you are incredibly childish." She finally said while pointing at him
Silence that's all there was
"You have got to be joking right, you think I've been "ruining you" over one incident" he said with quotation marks
"For someone smart and talented you sure are also a questionable character"
"Oh don't give me that if that's not the reason then why haven't I been to a single project it's my ideas everyone is feeding off of."
"It's a team effort-"
"Team effort my ass" immediately she let out a gasp
