Kagaya Ubuyashiki was born May 19.

When he was four his father died of the sickness cursed upon his family causing him to inherit his birthright of being the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps. But when Kagaya was thirteen he met Amane, she was specifically selected by a priest to become Kagaya's wife in order to care for his medical needs when the time came. But Kagaya only agreed upon this marriage on the one condition that she did this of her own free will. She agreed and they had a marriage ceremony.

After a few years of being married, Kagaya and Amane had five children: Hinaki Ubuyashiki (Daughter), Nichika Ubuyashiki (Daughter). Kiriya Ubuyashiki (Son), Kuina Ubuyashiki (Daughter), Kanata Ubuyashiki (Daughter).
