Shinobu was born to a wealthy family who worked in compounding medicine. She lived with her Mom, Dad, and her elder sister Kanae, additionally she was raised in a warm environment and was a very smart child growing up making her family proud. However around age 11 her family life was ravaged by a demon, it entered the family's estate and killed Kochos parents leaving the house destroyed and Kanae to rase Kocho. Lucky for them the stone pillar Himejima rescued the kids before the demon could find them. When Himejima found the siblings he hands them off to the Kakushi allowing them to help the children reacclimate to life without their parents. The sisters decided to become Demon Slayers as they lived in a estate on the Demon Slayer headquarters land.
