RukaHoshiura
In a world where demons lurk beneath the moonlight, a girl named Yoruko Hoshizura-Iguro, affectionately called Ruka, carries a past filled with pain, survival, and secrets.
Ruka can speak, but after suffering severe childhood trauma, she developed selective mutism, leaving her quiet for most of her life. While fleeing from a terrifying group of demons, she crossed paths with another runaway child: Obanai Iguro. The two escaped together and eventually became adoptive siblings, forming a bond that neither would ever allow the world to break.
Years later, Obanai becomes the Serpent Hashira, while Ruka secretly trains and dreams of joining the Demon Slayer Corps. Obanai refuses at first, terrified that his sister will be taken from him just as everything else was. He wants her to live peacefully, get married, have children, and never experience the horrors of demon hunting.
Ruka has other plans.
After months of stubbornly convincing him, she finally joins the Corps. Within only one month, her extraordinary physical strength, endurance, and sheer determination earn her the title of Hashira.
But Ruka is no ordinary Demon Slayer.
She is the Night Hashira, wielder of the mysterious Night Breathing. Her light-red hair, crimson eyes, unusual strength, and rare Marechi blood make her a dangerous opponent for demons. Yet beneath her intimidating presence is a quiet, gentle girl who helps Shinobu and Aoi at the Butterfly Mansion, enjoys having Mitsuri braid her hair, and secretly possesses a surprisingly enormous appetite.
There is also a secret hidden within her bloodline.
Ruka is a descendant of Yoriichi Tsugikuni.
Long before her birth, a priest delivered a prophecy:
"The child of Tsugikuni will come."
Only Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the Ubuyashiki family, Shinjuro Rengoku, and a few former Hashira know the truth.
Ruka herself rarely speaks about her heritage, her Nigerian-Japanese family background, or her Christian faith. She simply continues forward,
