Tap tap tap...

On the bed, a large smooth, aquatic tail repeatedly moves up and down from the surface to the air for swift and small moments before gently hitting against the mattress. This pattern goes straight for a second before lying limp until the next few seconds had the tail moving onward with the pattern.

"Mmph..."

It appears the tail belongs to a particular anthropomorphic shark on the bed, mumbling out certain words while holding onto a person on bed.

"Jun-seo..." The shark whispers as he slowly opens his eyes, awakening from his dream.

But as soon as his vision got clearer, he was suddenly disheartened. Instead of seeing his beloved human, he finds a pillow tucked between his arms.

"Jun-seo?!?" Poseidon jolts up from the bed while searching around the room. "No... No, where did he just go?..."

Tears began to well up in his eyes as he frantically searched through the bedroom. He also looked into the closet and bathroom, but found no traces of the human. He grinds his teeth and whimpers, "He can't just... He can't just-."

Then out of nowhere, a crackling hiss came across the hallway outside the bedroom, ssSiZzszzz!

Poseidon blinks as he turns toward where the sound came from. Then a couple of words followed after the strange noise, "Owhh, too hot."

The kitchen, thought Poseidon and he paced his way out of the bedroom. And as soon as he got to the kitchen, he found him.

"Huh, I think I might have to lower it... Oh! H-Hey, good morning, Poseidon!" Jun-seo enthusiastically greets the shark beastman with a small nervous smile.

Poseidon stood there for a moment and walked slowly towards Jun-seo. "Em, is there anything wrong?" The human spoke while looking up at Poseidon who was slightly towering over him.

The shark beastman then grabs Jun-seo into a hug and sniffles, "Please don't leave me like that again."

"Eh?" Jun-seo was perplexed until he was hit with the realization, "O-Oh right... S-Sorry I didn't wake you up or leave a note that I'm in the kitchen..." The human hugged back and comforted Poseidon as the best he could.

After a moment, they broke the hug and Jun-seo spoke, "Sorry for making you cry."

"I wasn't crying," Poseidon mumbles as he looks the other direction with obvious traces of tear marks. Jun-seo couldn't help but slightly smile.

Ever since yesterday, Jun-seo felt as if he was a different person at this moment. But even if he feels like it's out of his personality, he always takes his parents' words of how things will change in him and he shouldn't worry much unless those feelings hurt him.

And thinking of his parents... Jun-seo couldn't help but sigh quietly, wondering if they're still alive on Earth or by the other possibility he hates... Although he may have thought about how they're already gone long ago the past couple weeks, there was at some degree of hope that made him unsure between the options.

"Jun-seo," Poseidon's voice interrupts his train of thoughts, "Whaddya doin with all this? Smells actually good over here."

"Oh!" Jun-seo rushes over to the stove and picks up the tongs off the counter. He then picks up strips of meat that look reminiscent of bacon (from Earth), and places them on a large dish that appears to be filled with food that looks professionally prepared.
