Without You

Christine Summer

It’s like I don’t need air to breathe,

When you touch my hand I could see,

Our future so bright now so dim,

All the happy memories, now grim.

Because without you I am lost,

My crazy heart thinks you’re my boss,

One word and I will fall again,

Didn’t catch me, so I’m broken.

People say it was stupid,

To love someone so morbid,

They didn’t know how perfect it was,

When you said those words at last.

Each smile, each move full of grace,

In each and every crowd I find your face,

It’s like I’m invisible and you can’t see,

I’m there but you didn’t see me.

You talk and it was a new memory,

Like an old song with beautiful melody,

I’d dance in the rain just to see you there,

Happily dancing with another.

It was hopeless and I was breathless,

As I run home in my best dress,

Ruined and broken just like my heart,

Every piece you tore it apart.

I cried pointless tears for you,

Each and every debris felt so blue,

Didn’t think it’d be this hard getting over you,

When everything reminds me of you.

Without you I’m better off,

My friends say I had lost hope,

But no, it’s just another good-bye,

A few days and I’ll get-by.

I dreamt of this last night.
