crows are meant to fly
No one ever throws a crow in a cage.
Maybe it is because they are ugly.
Or maybe because they're a bad omen.
In that sense, maybe they're the lucky bird. But is freedom really so great when you
are treated poorly and cursed and hated?
At least the birds in the cages are thought
To be beautiful. Admired and loved. And despite this, everyone says that a
Caged bird is the one who is meant to fly.
To spread their wings. To sing. To be joyful.
If you caged a crow, would we fight for it?
Would we write it into poems and songs?
Or would we let it rot, ignored... alone?Do not forget... crows too are meant to fly.
