As time flew by, y/n and moon were still drifting in their slumber. Yes, The daycare lights were on. However, the room was still dark inside. But as scary as it is sleeping in the dark with a potentially killer animatronic moon guy, y/n still slept. Not too peacefully, but it was enough to regain their energy.

Finally, y/n woke up. As they did so, they were careful. They almost forgot how moon put them to bed. At this moment, place, and time the smaller one stared into the moons face. It was .. so nice. They look so real. Both Sun and moon. Being in the same body looks hard, can't tell if it's easy or not. Y/n still had some remaining questions, maybe it's best if they asked sun. Sun was the rambling time anyways, as for moon seemed to only share what he wants.

"Is there something on my face?"

Y/n jumped a bit, moons eye then brightened in the darkness. "Sorry! Sorry, I was just .. looking at you. To be honest, both you and Sun have a cool looking face. I couldn't help but stare." Apologizing, they got off of moon and stood up. Moon stretched for a moment, as if he'd have bones, and got up. He looked a bit.. dare I say dominating? But his aura for y/n was as if he was nervous or still had his guard up.

"Are you usually like this with the kids?" I awaited his answer, but he looked caught off guard. There was silence in the room before he replied to my question. "I am.. not really permitted to see the children anymore. Lights are on 24/7 at the daycare when sun is taking care of the kids. It's not suns decision. There is.. something wrong with me." Moon admitted, looking down at his hands. Poor guy, both Sun and moon must be so lonely. "Would.. would you be ok with a hug?" I asked, trying to ease the tension. He let out a small sigh before bending down fully and opening his arms. Like a child toward their parental figure, I ran to him.

It was like that day..

That day where they picked me up. That day where I was so happy to see them. That day where I was finally not alone again. Only for me to be alone with-

"Y/n? Are you feeling well?" Moon let go of me and from the looks of him he started to scan me. "No new injury.. are your wrists ok? What's wrong?" I know it was in his programming to help with children. Obviously. But, to be honest.. this attention made me feel good. I didn't feel tossed away. I didn't feel unworthy of something. However, there was one thing that held me back.

It's an animatronic. Two beings in one.

"I just.. have a lot of built up emotions. It's ok though, I'll be fine." I smiled to reassure him. He nodded until he started focusing on something. "Moon?" "Apologies, suns talking... he says he wants to play with you before the end of your shift." Moon muttered something else, but I couldn't comprehend it. At first I was glad, until I checked the time. It was close to reaching 6 am. "Was I sleeping for that long?! Oh no- I barely did anything- god." Moon chuckled silently.

"You slept like a baby. Don't worry, I do have some security features myself— so at a specific point I went outside to scout if anything happened. To make sure everything was safe. Don't worry y/n."

Thank goodness!
"Woah, really? Then what's the point of my job?" I asked, being totally confused now. "I'm sure they already told you the lack of people in the building.. mysteriously disappearing.. We do have a main nightguard here. Vanessa, but she avoids the daycare." Vanessa, huh? I've heard of a name like that before. "Everyone seems to avoid me." Moon said out loud looking away. This kinda made me feel.. sad for him. I ran away too, mostly, and I got scared of him. But I had a reason too!

"I don't think you're too scary for me, mr moon." I smiled toward him. For a moment, I could've sworn I saw a faint blush on his face but he turned around before I could get a good look.

Normally, with a human I would've said something but for an animatronic? Maybe.. maybe I -

"Oh, it's 5:30. Sun is bugging me a lot." I suppose this was my goodbye to the moon man. I wasn't entirely sad since I would see him throughout my life here at this job. "Moon, im glad I got to spend time with you. I know it isn't much but, that was the best damn sleep I have gotten in a while. Thank you."

Moon looked down at me, and he patted my head. "Honestly.. at first I thought you would be a bitch but you're actually a cool person. I've enjoyed my time with you too. And our hide and seek game. I'm also.. sorry for your wrists. I didn't mean it."

I couldn't help but stare. These humane emotions these robots can feel.. are so real.

"Don't worry about it, I've already forgotten all about it. And I've already forgiven you." Moon picked me up and swung me around! God he IS TOO TALL. He then looked at the entrance .. the same entrance as the balcony Sun jumped off from. Moon looked back at me and that damn balcony. "Don't you fucking dare."

"Watch me."

Oh fuck.

Moon held me tighter and basically jumped out. I got fucking chills for a moment but once he landed, he settled me down to switch back to sun, obviously since the lights were on.

"YAY OH Y/N! Y/N! I cannot wait to play with you!"

And with that, I entertained the sun by standing by his side. Playing kid games and a little bit of the arts.

Man, this job is really something.
