Serene's POV

Mami and Resha have coordinated a play date that I'm honestly more than a bit nervous about. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have a little friend but maybe it'll be a lot to take? I don't know, I haven't ever had a little friend in person so it's a bit hard for me to proccess. Mami has assured me and reassured me that it'll go just fine along with reminding a million thousand times that if I feel any uncomfortable they can just leave it for another day. Today's the day though, so I think it's too late for it...

Mami chooses a pastel blue sweater since it's cold outside along with my high tops of the same color, pairing it with some overalls. Mami makes me use a grey beanie and my coat...

'I don't need the gloves, mami!' I protests she holds up said item that matches the color of my hat

'You do baby, it's cold outside.'

'But we are going in the car, there's a heater there!' I argue

I'm winning. It's the truth! No way I'm going to use stupid gloves. I don't need em! Mami throws a stern look at me. Okay, maybe I'm not winning...

'There is.' She states, her tone very firm while she picks up my hands that I pull away. 'Serene Gabriella, I will start counting down to three if you don't let mami put these on you in the following 10 seconds.' She sternly says

Oop. My second name! Mami never uses my second name! But I don't wanna use those!

'But mami

'I don't want to hear a single but, it's very cold outside and you have to use them, it's not an option.' I pout briefly but let mami simply slide them on my hands. 'There's a good girl, thank you for listening princesa.' Mami kisses my forehead before picking up her sweater to put it on

I simply contemplate her gorgeous figure. Sometimes it's a bit hard to believe she's mine and I'm hers, specially with how damn randomly we stumbled upon each other. I got so goddamn lucky!

'Mami I'm nervous.' I truthfully state when mami drives off, her hand squeezes mine

'That's okay baby bear just know that if you feel any uncomfortable we can just leave alright?'

'Alright mami, got it.' I answer, mami smiles warmly

Her hand reaches for my chin, tickling it a bit to which I giggle. 'That's my good girl.'

Mami's good girl! I feel myself melting away for a minute.

'Thank you mami.' I smile wide

On the way there we simply sing along to the radio and mami makes some silly faces that I giggle to. Mami's such a sillyhead sometimes! Then after 20 minutes or so we stop by a house that's pretty much like mami's, just slightly bigger and more modern looking at least on the outside.

'Here it is.' Mami squeezes my hand yet again, I look up at her shiny eyes. 'What light we're on boo?'

She's so good to me. We're literally in front of the house but she's still asking, that's very sweet of her.

'Green mami.' I smile, she immediately returns my smile

'Alright' Mami says, turning off the car and quickly typing something out on her phone. 'Lets get going.'

The moment I hop off the car, the very cold breeze hits my face. I shiver a bit and mami chuckles.

'Mami' I throw a glare at her

'I warned you it was cold babygirl, mami knows best remember?' She lowly says, pecking on my lips and I feel my cheeks burn

'Yes mami.' I answer almost mumbling because I feel so shy

We stand on the doorway where mami rings the bell. A minute or less after, the door is opened by Resha.

'Hey there lovelies, welcome to my home sweet home.' She smiles, it was warm and welcoming

'Thank you Ree.' Mami smiles back while we step inside. Evidently the heater is on so mami starts taking off her winter gear while I do the same. 'Love the decorations.' Mami compliments while helping me with my coat

The inside of the house also looks modern or maybe it's just the way it's neatly decorated with neutral colors and some colorful accents. A heavenly smell of cookies hits my nose but of course, I don't mention anything.

'Thank you girl! It took a while to get it how I really wanted but here we are.' Resha replies, mami chuckles slightly

'Of course. Baby, did I mention that this one is an interior designer?' Mami points out in a silly manner

'No mami, that's cool.' I smile at Resha

'Why, thank you kiddo.' Resha chuckles. 'You know what else I love to do? Well, it's our thing, mine and Gemma's.' She wonders, I shake my head no. 'Baking, there's some cookies for you girls on the oven!' Resha excitedly states, I look up at mami

'You can have some princesa but just two okay?' Mami states firmly

'Got it mami, thank you.' I grin

'Hi Serene, hi Ayanna!' Gemma comes into the scene, waving energetically

'Hi' I shyly reply

'Hi there, hun.' Mami replies

'Can we go play with my toys momma?' Gemma asks, obviously directing herself towards Resha

'Of course, cupcake.'

'Do you wanna play Serene?' She wonders which I'm thankful for while all I can really do is nod as an answer

I look at mami for a second and she throws a soft reassuring smile at me before we go upstairs to what Gemma called her playroom. A table with coloring stuff was on the middle, on the background wall lays a playmat with a toy chest, then to the far right corner there is a small bookshelf and the wall towards the left is basically a huge chalkboard that has stuff written and drawn all over it. I notice a particular one reading I love you momma! ♡ and under it an Momma loves you more, sweet cheeks ♡ and it warms up my heart...

'It's super cool.' I smile at her, unsure on how to really react

It's cool indeed, but I'm nervous.

'What do you wanna do first?' She kindly smiles and I look around

'Color?' I wonder

'Alright! I really like you outfit.'

'Thank you, mami chose it for me.' I proudly reply while we seat down by the coloring table

'That's so cool! Momma doesn't chooses for me cuz I'm a bit picky but she always has to approve.'

Then a conversation about our respective mommies start and I can't deny I love it. Mami is my favorite topic like.. ever. Then we start talking about Disney stuff since the coloring pages are Disney themed..

This is going better than I expected!
