7. Revelation

"Great!"

Jun has a childhood dream. To be a singer and composer. He was tone deaf before. So he buried his secret dream.

It's lunchtime. Jun meets Alex in Cafetaria. He is alone. He has been a loner since Gray dated Aamon. No longer the same sunny guy.

Jun taps on his shoulder and sits next to him.

He asks," What's wrong? You look troubled..."

"My scores are dropping dead like flies."

"You should learn harder."

Alex wails, "I tried! These business terms are killing me! I hate this major!"

"Why did you choose it?"

Jun frowns when he hears Alex said his father forced him.

He asks, "You are an adult. You should choose your own life. It's better to pick major you love. Instead of one you hate."

Alex's eyes rounded. He stares Jun as if worshipping him.

He asks, "Is it possible?"

"Why not? It's better than not graduating?"

"I love online games. I always dream to be a game developer."

Jun nods his head.

He asks, "Why don't you try a course outside first? See if you are suitable or not for programming. I heard it's hard work. Harder than business management."

"Yes! Thanks! I'll treat you to dinner some other time!"

Alex had online programming course last summer. He enjoyed it very much. He wanted to take computer programming. His father forced him to choose another major.

He left his half eaten lunch behind.

Jun looks around. No one is looking at him. Al's leftovers is right beside him.

The bread is still inside the plastic wrapper. Untouched. The soda bottle is still intact. He smiles and eats them. No need to waste money.

Alex just gave him a free meal.

Jun smirks and bites the bread.

For the Earth.

He is reducing wastes. Nothing to do with poverty.

New skill unlocked!

Jun swallows down his meal. He wonders if he got a skill because smooching off other's stuffs.

Chicken soup for the soul. Activation: once a week. Duration: Ten minutes.

Jun checks the description, "Brainwashing listeners and direct them to act on purpose. Not allowed to direct crimes."

He chuckles. This is a weird skill. If he worked as a salesman, he might reap a great fortune.

Alex just returns from management office. He just changes his major into computer programming. He wants to learn the basics soon. Maybe one day he could create his own games.

He stops walking when he sees Gray is weeping. His childhood friend is a stubborn fellow. He rarely cries.

Alex asks, "What happened?"

Gray is silent. He is ashamed to confess Aamon dumped him earlier. Simple reason. He can't sleep with the Casanova. He felt disgusted although Aamon clearly is veteran in bed.

He looks toward Alex. The latter gives him a good hug. Just like what he always did when he's down.
