Apparently, his little radio thing, which she had given him years ago, had sent a distress signal, and so she had come here from the farthest corner of space to help him. When she arrived, however, she had not found Fury
but she did find the Avengers. Carol set the ship down on the lawn in front of the building, where Pepper Potts was already waiting impatiently. A moment later, the hatch opened, a blue-skinned woman stepped out, and helped Tony Stark to getting out of the ship.

Abigail emitted a relieved sound and immediately rushed over with Steve to help Nebula.

It seemed to them that Tony had said something, but his voice sounded so weak. "I couldn't
stop him," he seemed to mutter. "Neither could I," Steve replied. He didn't know what else to say.

"At least you didn't lose the girl," he whispered in relief, pulling Abigail into a hug before she passed him off to Pepper. "The boy... I lost him." Tony was angry and wracked with guilt. Steve knew he meant Peter Parker. "We lost," Steve said. And so so much more. "Yeah is -," He was interrupted as they stopped short and Pepper rushed to Tony's
side. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him to her. Pepper sobbed into the embrace and Tony pressed a kiss to her cheek to reassure her. "It's all right," he assured her.

While Pepper led Tony away from the spaceship, Abigail turned to the new blue-skinned woman who had sat down on the bottom step. Rocket walked over to her and took a seat next to her. They held hands and abandoned themselves to their silent grief.

"The governments of the world are shattered," said Natasha gravely. "The parts that are still functioning are counting the losses, and apparently he ... He did exactly what he said he would do. Thanos has wiped out fifty percent of all living things." She tried to present this revelation matter-of-factly, but the truth was unbearable even for her with her cool demeanor.

Above them on holographic displays were the faces of other teammates, and of more people, many of whom they had barely met properly. Under each photo were names. And next to each name was a word Abigail could no longer bear to say.

Tony averted his eyes from the holographic images and eyed his teammates. He noticed that one wasn't even in the room, but was brooding outside. Thor. "Where is he now?" Tony wanted to know more about Thanos' Whereabouts. "Where?"
Steve sighed. "We don't know. He opened a portal and disappeared." Tony chewed nervously on the inside of his cheek as he set his wheelchair in motion.

His gaze lingered on Abigail and he noticed how the years had taken their toll on her young appearance. When he first saw her, she was rather introverted, having no interest in parties or socializing in general. She even went so far as to say that there was no way she wanted to be like her parents. At one time she was angry, a bit hot-tempered but in addition she was wild, reckless and stubborn. Her little to no control over her powers had scratched at her self-confidence and self-esteem.
