Turn 11: The Game That Was Won Before It Began

Izuku walked down an empty and dark hallway dressed as Zero. He had a meeting to attend to. But as he walked, he couldn't help but think about what happened the other day.

"What do you know about Shinjuku?" Izuku asked.

"Everything" All Might answered. Izuku stared at his mentor for a moment before speaking.

"So you knew there was a girl in the capsule?" Izuku answered.

"Yes"

"Zero" Kallen called out to Zero as she followed from behind from a distance.

"What is it Kallen?" Zero asked.

"You have mine and everyone else's trust after the miracle you pulled with Dabi. But, what is our purpose. We were a resis-"

"Your group were never a resistance. But, for your purpose, that is for you to figure out" Zero interrupted Kallen and just kept on walking.

"So, you know that the poison gas was just a cover up?" Izuku asked.

"I did" All Might answered. Izuku stared at All Might with a scowl and his fists clutched.

Zero entered a giant room to hear Shigaraki having a tantrum. While having the tantrum, the other members of the League Of Villains were just watching. As Zero watched the tantrum, Ohgi approached Zero.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Ohgi asked.

"Like it or not, we need their support despite their previous failures. They have the resources we don't have." Zero answered, approaching the League of villains. "Tomura Shigaraki."

"Its about time." Shigaraki mumble.

"Apologies for keep you waiting. Fancy a game of chess?" Zero snapped his fingers. A man walked up to Zero with a case. Opening it was a full chess set.

"If you knew it was a coverup, then why didn't you say anything?" Izuku asked trying to keep his cool.

"Because, if I did it would put you in danger and the truth of one for all out for the world to see" All Might answered. Izuku took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

"I prefer Shogi" Shigaraki said taking a seat across from Zero

"I see. My apologies. Chess is all I could get my hands on in a short amount of time. But how about a wager" Zero challenged Shigaraki to a game of chess.

"A wager? Is that why you had us come here?" Shigaraki asked narrowing his eyes at Zero. Because of the mask, it was impossible to read him.

"Yes, a wager. If I win, I want access to your resources" Zero spoke getting a scoff from Shigaraki.

"What makes you think we have the resources to help your group?" Shigaraki asked.

"Does the name All For One sound familiar?" Zero asked getting mixed reactions from Shigaraki. "Then that confirms it. Surely the successor of All For One has resources"

"Who are you!?" Shigaraki asked, standing up and slamming his hands on he table, disintegrating it, letting the chess boards and pieces fall to the floor, scattering everywhere. Kallen and Ohgi went for their guns. But Zero just raised his hand stopping them.

"I'm a man that will destroy this world and create it anew" Zero answered calmly.

"To hell with One For All. Those were innocent people. Innocent men, women, and... and children!" Izuku screamed at All Might.

"Is everything OK in here?" Izuku turned to see Midnight in the door.

"Get out!" Izuku yelled, using his Geass unintentionally.

Kallen walked behind Zero. She couldn't help but stare at him. Especially after what he just pulled back there with the League of Villains. He beat them in a game of chess without moving a single piece.

"Kallen, is everything alright?" Zero asked, looking back at Kallen, Bringing her back to reality. She stood there like a deer in headlights. But she was eventually able to regain her posture.

"Its just... you said you want to destroy this world and rebuild it anew. But why?" Kallen asked.

"A hero killed your brother and they covered it up as a suicide. Am I correct?" Zero asked.

"Uh, Yes. But how-" Kallen stared at Zero in shock.

"Is that not a good enough of a reason?" Zero asked. Kallen couldn't answer verbally. But to her, it was a good enough reason. But it wasn't his. She needed- wanted to know his reason for fighting. Kallen watched as Zero kept walking away from her until he was out of view.
