The pain was vicious as you laid out against the cold floor of the dressing room, your eyes continued to flutter open and closed as blurs of people rushed around you, voices raised as everyone tried to figure out what was wrong. It was as if you were forgotten, despite being the way clutching to every ounce of bravery you had to stop yourself from breaking down.

"Five minutes to stage!"

A lump made its way down your throat as you heard the call, it was impossible for you to perform in such a state, you weren't quite sure at what point your back seized up and your body fell, but there was no chance you were in a position anymore to be able to get yourself back up.

You sighed heavily as chaos continued to ensue around you, trying your best to zone out of it, hoping someone had managed to make the call to help you, and stop worrying about what was going to happen to the broadcast with you in your current state. Eventually, your manager appeared beside you, resting her hand over yours, squeezing against it lightly.

Your eyes opened, smiling weakly across at her as she took in your appearance. She couldn't help but frown, letting you know just how horrid the situation was becoming, not only had you jeopardised the show for the evening, your own career felt like it was currently slipping away from you.

"I've called him," she whispered, a volume quiet enough so no one else could hear.

Straight away you knew who she meant, she was the only person you trusted to tell about your relationship with Yoongi, the two of you were too private to risk letting anyone else know, but your manager was someone you knew would always be there to support your decisions.

"He'll be here soon," she added, glancing up at the clock. "Try not to worry about anything else, we've already called an ambulance that shouldn't be too long of a wait now, and then we'll get you checked over and see what's gone on."

The guilt ate away at you as you began to think of what could've been, tonight was one of the biggest opportunities of your career thus far.

Yet, you knew you were by far in no fit state to perform. "I'm sorry if I've let anyone down," you whispered, accepting the full responsibility, "what are they going to do now? I've put the whole show at risk of falling apart."

"It's nothing that they can't fix, what matters is you," she assured you, shushing the shouts of the staff around you, "places like this always have back up options just in case anything goes wrong."

"Why do these sorts of things always happen to me? This was supposed to be my chance to perform live in front of such a big audience," you huffed, fighting back the tears that threatened.

A few moments later, the creak of the door made you flinch, feeling a presence appear beside you, your eyes glanced right and saw Yoongi leaning over you, quickly taking a hold of your hand whilst your manager stepped back, giving the two of you the space that you needed.

"You shouldn't be here, what if people see us? I'll be fine Yoongi," you encouraged.

His head shook, privacy meant nothing to him when you were injured, if people wanted to speak, he'd let them, but there was no way he was going to leave you on the floor at one of your lowest moments. "I'm not going anywhere; I'm going to stay right here with you."

"It hurts," you sighed, watching his expression softened as he looked down at your frozen body for the first time, unable to move from the pressure that your seized-up muscles applied. "Do you know how important this was supposed to be? And now I've gone and ruined it."

"You've not ruined anything," he comforted, brushing his thumb against the back of your hand, "everyone will understand that you're injured, and I'm sure as soon as you're better the show will welcome back and let you perform again. If they don't, I'll make sure they do."

Your eyes rolled, but you knew he couldn't have been more serious. If you thought Yoongi was going to sit back and watch you allow this to affect you, you were very much mistaken, all it was, was a little hurdle in you finding your feet.

"You can't come to the hospital Yoongi, it's too risky that people might see us. I'll get the staff to come and keep an eye on me," you tried to tell him once again to keep the two of you private.

His head shook, "when will you listen and understand that I'm staying right here with you?"

And he did. As the ambulance came and you were placed onto a stretcher, he never failed to leave your side. As you were led out of the building and the screams of fans were beginning to grow, his hand slipped into yours, if people saw, he didn't care, the only thing that mattered to him right now was your safety.

He stared confidently around at the fans as you walked out into the fresh air, the sounds of cameras sent a shiver down your spine, but that didn't stop Yoongi being there. Each attempt you made to let go of his hand, he simply held on a little bit tighter.

You could already imagine it, the headlines you'd wake up to in the morning, the threats and insults it would be impossible for you to avoid. "Just keep looking forwards, don't pay any attention to what's going on around you."

"Why are you making it all sound so easy Yoongi?"

"Because it is," he smiled, walking right beside you. "There's something going on so much more important right now than people not finding out about our relationship, it's not going to change anything if people do find out, I'd rather they found out and I know you're safe."

"What happens though once I'm better and everyone knows? How do you think they're going to treat me then? You know what your fans are like, you warned me what it would be like and now you want them to know," you sighed.

Yoongi's head shook as you were first placed in the back of the ambulance, with him following behind. "You're overthinking everything, I'll handle it all, haven't I said that I'll always protect you?"

"Of course," you smiled, turning to face him as he sat in the chair beside you. "But I should be able to protect myself, but I don't know if I can in amongst this all."

"If you were able to protect yourself you wouldn't currently be in the back of an ambulance," he teased, "but in all seriousness, there's going to be nothing for you to worry about, I promise you."

As much as you wanted to disagree with him, your body was exhausted, and your mind was quickly beginning to close off. Your relationship going public was something for you to worry about on another day, right now all that mattered was making sure your injury was nothing but a scare.

Your hand reached out for his, squeezing tightly against his hold. "Do you think anything bad is going to happen?"

"It might, but we're a team, and you are the priority right now. Nothing else matters, so don't fret, and let me take care of you."

"Please don't leave me at the hospital Yoongs," you requested.

He stepped forward, pressing a kiss to your forehead, "I won't, I'll be there, always."
