My eyes flutter open as I let out a groan closing them due to how bright it was.
"Hit the light" I hear dad mutter
"We are here principessa" he says softly as I feel him take my hand
"Papa"
"I'm here principessa I'm here" he says voice breaking as sniffles
"Mamma" I groan feeling confused as why I'm feeling the way I do.
"I'm here Tesoro, you're ok bambina you're ok" she cries softly.
"Sono stanco" I say no louder than a whisper
"Sleep principessa"
That's the last thing I here before sleep pulls me under. The next time I wake up Cara is sitting beside me holding my head
"W-water" I croak
"You bitch, don't you ever do that to me again" Cara sobs
"What happened?" I ask confused after I take a drink of the water my mom was holding.
"People started shooting and everything went crazy, next thing I know Luciano is carrying you running outside with blood pouring from you" Cara cries "you could've died" she lets out a heartbreaking wail which only makes my mom cry harder.
"I didn't though did I?" I say smiling the best I can as I have I have a flashback of people running my way making me groan as my head hurts.
"Yes you are Tesoro" mamma smiles wiping her tears.
"The last thing I remember is us talking to Luciano then people running my way but then nothing" I mutter
"That's okay don't try thinking about it"
I look around and it's only then that I realise I'm in my room at my parents house
"How am I here?"
Before either of the two can answer my three older brothers walk in along with Kai.
"Hey Principessa" they greet.
"Ciao fratelli" I say making them smile.
"We wanted you back here where you would be safe" mamma says answering my previous question
"It's been 5 days" Gio says sadly
"B-but I only remember waking once" I stutter
"You woke up a few times principessa" Luciano mutters as he sits on the side of my bed
"I'll go get you some food for you Tesoro"
"Grazie mamma" I smile
"I'll help" Cara says smiling my way before rushing after my mom
"Principessa" Luciano Sighs giving me a kiss on my forehead.
"How you doing Lia?" Kai asks softly. "Everyone is asking for you
"I'm ok thank you" I say looking at the four of them "was anyone else hurt?"
"Of people you know only Luciano who got a gunshot graze on his arm but there was others that had injury's also and 2 deaths" Lorenzo says softly but I can see the anger in his eyes
"We are going to the office for a quick meeting Kai will wait here with you ok" Luciano says making me nod.
"Theo asked me to give this to you" Kai says quietly once they all left. I turn to see him taking an envelope out of his pocket
"He's gone" I whisper
"He had no choice amelia" Kai mutters looking honest but sad. "He said he was sorry and asked me to give this to you"
