chapter 11

Emily woke up to Ben making blueprints for the trap he wanted to build. It was almost going to be like a bear trap but instead of it being in a stall with a horse it was going to be in Hazelnuts stall because it would be the best choice for it. Ben had made a shopping list for Emily.
   
    Emily asked Ben, "What is this for?" Ben answered saying, "It's for the trap I want to make. I figured you'd be able to run to the store before practice?" Emily answered politely saying, "But Ben I need to make sure Hazelnut and I won't make any mistakes. I really needa win. Plus I want to add harder jumps and tricks for her, she seems bored and I also need to pick Jacob and Hannah up for help with finding my outfit." Ben answered saying, "You'll already be out getting the outfit and Hannah and Jacob can go to the store with you. You can take my truck." Emily rolled her eyes and grabbed Bens' keys plus the list.

    Ben shouted, "Love you lil sis." Emily shoute love you too back as she closed the door. She made a group chat and texted Ben and Hannah, "I'm just leaving, we need to stop at the hard wear shop btw." Jacob and Hannah both said ok and got ready. Emily wanted to buy her outfit first so she made a plan to stop at Boot Barn and Sporttaucher vaulting.

    Emily first picked Jacob up since he was closer then Hannah. They both introduced themselves and Ben sat next to Emily in the passenger seat since it was an extended cab Hannah decided to sit in the back. Bens' truck was an 07 chevy silverado extended cab with an 6 inch lift that looked like this:

    Emily told everyone where they were going and they arrived at Bootbarn and found nothing, which wasn't a shocker. The only thing they found was a new pair of boots that matched Emily and Hannah, so they both got a pair. They looked like this:

    After they checked out they went to Sporttaucher vaulting. They found a perfect outfit for Emily. The outfit looked like this:

    Emily got the things on the paper and dropped them off to Ben and got changed because she wanted to practice with Hazelnut with her outfit and shoes on. Emily had a brand new saddle that looked like this:

    Jacob and Hannah decided they would buy Emily a pair of brand new vaulting shoes for a gift. They told Emily they were going to buy food and stuff for the camper so they can travel up to the fair. The shoes they got looked like this:

    Emily decided to get prepared for the dance by getting her notes out and she started writing the vaulting tricks she'd do. She also had a separate list of the jumps she'd do. The list was fairly long, but she wanted to win over the crowd so she needed to have a lot. The list ranged from beginner moves to highly advanced work. The list for vaulting and jumps said:

Vaulting Moves

Mill, stand & swing off, scissors, vault on, basic set, flag, clicks, flank, Chinese split, lunge, tuck, twisting splits, back & front handspring(landing on the horse), salto, handspring(dismount)
Jumping moves

Vertical, Oxers, Triple bars, Cross rails, walls, Combinations, Water jumps, Jokers, Hogsback jump, and a Square jump

    Emily wrote out her routine to be very difficult while she did this the routine went like this:

Vault on to a vertical, then do a mill, after the mill do a twisting split and run around once to settle the horse then do a wall into  water jump. Add a shocking combination with a hogsback to a back handspring landing on the horse. Do a square jump twice and a cross rail, the crowd will think it's easy until you do a lunge to a tuck then a salto. The crowd will think your done but finish the last jump with a oxers and a joker(set at the highest level). You won't be fully done because you will still have another water jump with a front handspring tuck landing on the horse. To finish you will do a scissors then a back handspring to mount off.

    Emily finished writing and by time she got it done Jacob and Hannah were back. She saw a small gift box in Hannah's hand and a questionable look on her face........
