Chapter 24: This was Only the Beginning

~ Tenten ~
We got woken up and changed into our Konoha chunin outfits and started leaving. I ate a bit and so did Neji but everyone was tense about this. We left to line up, it was time to section up in our divisions. From a far i saw the rest of the Konoha 12. They saw us and waved at us. All 3 of us walked towards them. We said our goodbyes before everyone else left to their divisions.

Me and Neji stand next to each other, not wanting to say goodbye. We all wished to come back home safe and alive. As Hinata and her father said their goodbyes both Neji and I started saying ours to each other.

"Neji... please promise me you'll comeback safe" I said as I looked into his eyes

"Tenten I will but you promise me the same" he said

"I love you and please stay safe don't worry about me. I'm all stocked up in my scrolls. Take care of Hinata and yourself too" I said as I hugged him

"I'll try not to, please be careful I don't want you getting injured" he said hugging me tightly

"I love you" I said as I kissed him

"I love you too" he said after we finished kissing

"Tenten-Chan don't worry about Neji nii-san he'll be okay" Hinata said

"Okay take care both of you, goodbye" I said as I hugged Hinata

"We will you too take care" Hinata said

"Tenten, come on let's go" said Neji's uncle we were both in the same division

"I'm going" I said

And just like that we left to our own unit to be ready to leave.

"Don't worry Tenten, just worry about taking care of yourself" said Hiashi

"I will" I said with a smile as we saw Choza, Kotstsu and Izumo

We stood next to them. As we waited for the leaders to show up if each division. For our unit it was Darui of the Hidden Cloud. As Gaara gave his speech minutes later we started running towards our battle field. I was ready for this, everyone was. I was going to be fighting next to Neji's uncle and all the older people who had more experience than me. We didn't know what was going to happen after all this is war

~ Neji ~
We said our goodbyes, I felt the emotion going thru my body. I pray that she'll be fine, I pray that all of us are fine and comeback home safe. I leave to the second division with Lady Hinata as I see Tenten and Hiashi leave to the first division. I shake my head to focus myself on this war. I need to be prepared. As Gaara gives out his speech we wait for the sign. We start to follow the leaders running after them. This was only the beginning
