Chapter 12: Tenten and her Ninja Pals

~ Neji ~
Both Tenten and I wake up to someone knocking on the door. It's still early in the morning maybe it's 6am?

"Who is knocking at this time" I asked as I wrapped the blanket around myself. It was cold it was snowing lightly.

"I have no clue, it's super early" Tenten said. She was still half asleep. We did go to sleep pretty late last night

"I'll open it" i said as i walked towards the door

I opened it it was Naruto with Shikamaru

"What's going on?" I asked confused

"Hurry get dressed and go to the Hokages office. They are back from the meeting" said Naruto. He was being serious for once

"We are having a meeting about the war with the Kazekage and his siblings" Shikamaru said

"Alright, me and Tenten will be there in a few minutes" i said as i shook my head

"Good, hurry" said Naruto as both left in a hurry

I closed the door and Tenten was up already

"Tenten you heard right?" I asked

"Yes Neji, i did I'll be ready quick" she said as she hurried to the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth

I grabbed my bag and changed into a fresh change of clothes. I borrowed Tenten's hair brush and started to brush my hair.

I started to make this like home. I had my tooth brush here, face wash that Tenten bought me because she didn't want me breaking out. She's actually gotten me a few skin care products and now I take care of my skin. Before I used to wash my face with shampoo.

I spray some of this hair product that Tenten uses i just know it makes your hair soft. I finish brushing my hair and i quickly go to the bathroom and brush my teeth.

I see Tenten is starting to change her clothes and i close the door of the bathroom. I'm giving her my respect until she wants me to do something i will do it but without her permission and once she's comfortable. Until that I'm not peaking at her changing or anything like that.

"Neji are you almost done?" She screamed as she came out her room

Her hair was down she still hasn't done her hair

"Almost" i said

"Okay, i might just do my hair after we arrive there" she said as she brushed her hair

"It's fine just tie it into two ponytails, then i can help you" i said

"Okay i might be able to do them quickly" she said as she started to put her shoes. She had started doing her pig tails. She wrapped her Konoha headband on her forehead and yelled "NEJIII IM READY"

"I'm going" i said as i hurried and went to put my shoes on

I put on my shoes and leave. It felt like it took a long time to get ready when instead it was a max of 10 minutes

We leave running towards the Hokage office. Tenten has pigtails she looks adorable. We get to the Hokage's office and see that Lee, Kiba, Shikamaru, Shino and Hinata there along with Master Jiraya and Shizune.

"Tenten let me do your space buns" said Lady Tsunade

"Ah oh sure" i said as i handed her my hair ties. She did braids then wrapped them around to make the space buns

"This hair style reminds me a lot of my grandmother Uzumaki Mito. Growing up i always enjoyed doing her hair in two buns. I would change it up once in a while by doing braids first or doing them higher or lower" Lady Tsunade said with a smile

"If you all would've been able to meet her she would've loved you all like if she was your own grandma" she added to

"Thank you Lady Tsunade. I was rushing trying to get here as soon as possible so I just left with two pig tails" i said

"You're welcome Tenten" replied Lady Tsunade with a smile

"You look so pretty Tenten-Chan" whispered Hinata

"Thank you" I whispered back to Hinata

We were waiting for Naruto and Gaara

Neji kept looking at me while reassuring me. Moments later they arrived

"Now that we are all here. War is happening i know you guys are young and have never gone into war. This will be your 1st war while Jiraya, Shizune and I have gone through 2 already" Lady Tsunade said

"This will be hard, you will see a lot of classmates and people that you know pass away during war. Don't let that get to you guys. We need to be strong everyone will play a important role in this war" Master Jiraya said

I hadn't thought about it like that. We could loose one of us. I wasn't mentally prepared but I was a kunoichi. I was meant to do this work.

"Also the 5 great nations have come to an alliance. Officially we have created the Allied Shinobi Forces" said Lady Tsunade

"We will all be working together. Especially with Gaara who we've had close ties with. Now I'm giving each of you a duty so we can start working right away" added to the previous comment

She's started to give everyone duties, slowly everyone stated leaving to do their job.

"Tenten, you will be working with Gaara and Neji on storing Ninja tools. You will all be going to collect ninja tolls from your good old friend" said Tsunade with a smile knowing exactly who it was

"Sure, i haven't gone in a long time" i said

"Just be careful there are people who don't want this alliance to be formed so watch your backs. They might attack you or someone from the Akatsuki might show up" Lady Tsunade said

"Afterwards go to the port to deliver this shipment to Guy and Kakashi. Try to fill up as much as possible" she said

"My question is why is Gaara doing this with us?" I asked "I'm not trying to be rude but he's the Kazekage, he shouldn't be doing work" i tried to explain as i freaked out

"Well you see he will be able to help us ship out a lot of kunais and shiruken by summoning Shukaku" she said

"Okay well i guess Team Tenten will be leaving" i said as we hurried and left

We are half way thru the destination and suddenly they started to throw kunai with paper bombs

"TENTEN BE CAREFUL" Screamed Gaara

"Byakugan" said Neji as he activated his byakugan

But suddenly as he did that more kunai with paper bombs where thrown to the point where it was probably 3 to 6 people throwing at the same time

"TENTEN" screamed Neji

As i took a step i realized that there was a trap 🪤 suddenly I felt someone hugging me, trying to cover me from the explosion
