Chapter 22: Favorite Sister-in-Law

~ Neji ~
We arrive to the Hyuga house, and we walk in as I'm holding her hand tightly. She's wearing a beautiful dress to impress my family. I see some of the Hyuga elders and then I see Naruto and Lady Hinata sitting together.

"Hello Neji and my favorite sister in law Tenten-Chan" said Naruto

"Hi Hinata and my favorite brother in law Naruto" Tenten responded. They had their own jokes, I actually really enjoy that they get along knowing how Naruto is

I saw some of the older Hyuga's come towards us, to introduce themselves to Tenten. They had known that Neji the child from the branch house had finally found love. "The genius"

"Hello, Neji long time no see" said one of the older lady Hyuga members from the main branch

"Hello, good afternoon. How have you been?" I asked as Tenten was right my by side, holding me by the arm smiling and looking pretty

"I've been great. Who is this pretty young lady? Is she your girlfriend?" She asked

"Yes she is my girlfriend Mitsashi, Tenten" I said

(Idk what her last name is but I saw a lot of ppl using this last name so I used it)

"Hello, it's really nice to meet you" Tenten said as she slightly bowed

"Oh another kunoichi and someone who's not part of Hyuga clan. Finally, just like you Tenten I'm not a member of the Hyuga clan I married into" she said with a smile

"Yes, she was an active kunoichi when she met my uncle and she married into the family. Outsiders weren't seen very well in the past so it was hard for her and so far her and another member of the family are the only non Hyuga members of the family who married in to the family" Neji said

"Oh well, I'm glad to meet you. At first I didn't know how they wouldn't react but so far everyone has been reacting right about us" she replied with a smile

"It's good things have changed for the better now. Also Neji I like that promise ring" she said with a smile as she walked away

"So back then if we were together it would've been seen as a bad thing?" Tenten asked

"Yes, the clan never mixed with other clans. Until now, she was the 1st outsider and she wasn't treated very well. She's an Uzumaki as you might have noticed by the red hair. Now you're the 3rd outsider but everyone has changed" I said

"I'm glad things changed, they even accepted Naruto. We are going to be one happy family" she said

"Yes we will, now come on let me introduce you to some other family members" I said as I grabbed her hand and walked up to another close family member

I kept introducing her to my close family. Everyone kept calling Tenten beautiful and "Neji's girlfriend". Then it was time for sitting down in the table. In the main chair it was my uncle then on the right it was Me and Tenten then on the left it was Lady Hinata and Naruto.

"I'm so glad that everyone is here to see us go, but also for you all to meet Neji's girlfriend who we all love. I wanted you all to meet them before the war started, also to cherish this time with our family before leaving" Hiashi said

"Thank you all for coming, both myself and Neji are glad that you all came. I'm really glad to meet you all today, as now me and Neji are together" Tenten said

~ Tenten ~
"I know this wasn't planned but I have already given Tenten a promise ring, as you all might have seen on her hand. I hope you all respect my decision and my future wife and the mother of my kids. She's the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. She's a strong kunoichi with a good heart who loves to help everyone, that's why I love her" Neji said with a proud smile that made me feel amazing. Him saying that made me feel butterflies in my stomach

I was blushing and afterwards we started to eat and talk like a big family, we were now one family they had adopted me and Naruto. We were the new family members. I felt welcomed. As the dinner finished everyone started leaving, they gave me a few gifts and everything seemed like they actually liked me

~ The event finishes ~ 5pm-ish ~ Neji ~
"Everyone liked you, they really did" I said as I hugged her tightly

"Yes they do" said Lady Hinata "and they liked Naruto-kun too"

"I'm so happy they did, I think the both of us were worried" Naruto said

"Yep" Tenten said "I'm tired it's nap time" as she sat down on the couch

"Well me and Naruto-kun are going to pack his things then comeback" Hinata said

"Okay I'm going to start packing too while Tenten takes a nap" I said as I patted her head

"Byeee" both Naruto and Lady Hinata said

"Come on let's go" Tenten said as she grabbed my hand to go to my room

"Uh you want something else don't you" I said with a smirk

" I just want cuddles" she said

"Okay sure remember at 8pm we leave" I said as we got in the my room

~ Tenten ~
We only cuddled and then I left to go home and get my things. As I was finishing I looked at the picture of my parents. I felt my eyes starting to water, I cried "mom dad, just know I'm going to comeback home please protect me from all harm. I will live up to your expectations as the great kunoichi I am. I love you both" I said out loud as I hugged the picture of my parents. I went to the cemetery to leave flowers for my parents.

~ Neji ~
As Tenten left my uncle Hiashi, came to talk to me. It was a very pleasing conversation and then he encouraged me to go visit my parents grave so I did. I got fresh flowers and cleaned up my parents grave. I started talking to the graves, I felt like I was communicating with them in real life

"Mom dad, I finally asked her out. I gave her a promise ring to show my love and promise to protect her and love her till my last breath. I wish you could meet her, you would've loved her even uncle Hiashi loves her. The whole clan has met her and they approve of her, things have changed in the Hyuga clan. I can finally be with her" I said as I changed the flowers

I kept talking about her to my parents gravestones, until I saw Tenten coming in with flowers to her parents gravestones. I saw her quietly putting flowers, talking. I went towards her "Tenten" I said while I touched her shoulders

"Neji" she said with a stuffy nose and red eyes. She had been crying

"Aw Tenten" I said while I pulled her in for a hug

"Thank you" she whispered "mom, dad this is him this is Neji" she said looking at the gravestone

I slightly bowed

"Tenten don't cry, they are both looking down at us with a smile. They are happy we are together" I said as I kissed her forehead

"I know I know I just get emotional" she said "let's get going okay"

"Sure, let me take your bag" I said

"Thanks Neji" she said as I bowed again slightly but before we left she went to say hello to my parents and left a flower on each of their gravestones. Shortly after we left back to the Hyuga house to leave with the rest of the family.

8pm it's time to go
