It Started With Hello *Niall Horan* {EDITING}

Chapter Five

~•Nikki's POV•~

I woke up literally 5 minutes before I had to get to work today so I could already tell that today wasn't going to be a good one. Except for tonight of course. You know what they say even if you start off bad end it on a good note.

Today was another slow day at work and I didn't make that much in tips. Like I predicted, I wake up late for work and now my whole day is going bad. I mean yeah I get a paycheck but I rely on my tips for some of my bills and work has been a little slow for the past couple weeks.

I did my normal routine as I walked up to my flat, grabbed my mail, opened my door and walked in. As I was flipping through my mail I stopped on one letter I've been waiting for. It finally came after waiting for about two and a half weeks!

I quickly opened the letter from the University of London. Gosh I was so nervous but I finally got it opened and read it.

*Text Convo*

Me: OMGosh guess what!

Margaret: What?! what happened?

Me: I got accepted to the University of London!!

Margaret: Omg we have to celebrate tonight!! I'm coming over!

Me: No you can't lol I'm going out to meet Niall, he told me last night to meet him at the park at 8pm tonight!

Margaret: Well then I'm coming over to help you get ready :P

Me: Fineeee

*End of Text Convo*

I was so excited, yes this day started off badly but it's definitely ending well. First I get accepted to the university and now I'm getting ready for my date with Niall. I have to figure out what to wear though, he said something warm, oh and I still need a shower, I hope Margaret gets here soon I need clothing advice!

Right on time I hear the door to my flat open then close and a voice shouted "Niiiiikkkiii!!!" and it could only belong to Margaret herself.

"I'm in my room, come help me pick an outfit out!" she immediately showed up at my closet door and began pulling clothing items out of it and throwing them on my bed. Within about two minutes she shouts "Done" she had a proud look on her face.

I examined the outfit and determined I liked it. Without saying a word I picked it up and walked to the bathroom to take a shower.

I emerged from the bathroom with the black, grey, and white sweater dress on that Margaret picked out along with black leggings, ugg boots, and beanie. I let my hair air dry into ringlets and I painted my nails white. I had on a small amount of make up as well. I walked over to my bed and grabbed my black bag then went into the other room where I found Margaret watching spongebob. [Outfit to the Right]

"Wow, I did an awesome job with your outfit!" she exclaimed.

"I would say no you didn't but then I would be lying, you did a great job."

"So when is Niall coming to get you?"

"He's not, I'm meeting at the park that's a few block down from here."

"Oh well when are you leaving then?"

"Right now cuz it takes me about 15 minutes to get there and I don't want to be late, why?"

"I was just wondering how long you were going to leave me alone in your house while you ditch me for Niiiaaall" she said as she sang song Niall's name.

"As long as you don't clear out my fridge I'll be okay leaving you here by yourself" I laughed

"I think I could try to not eat all your food, actually I'll just order pizza."

"Well you do that then and I'll be going" with that I started walking towards the door only to here "Bye oh and of you decide to do anything stupid don't forget protection!!"

I walked out the door and closed it without even responding. Only my best friend is able to say something so embarrassing and have me be okay with it.

I got to the park and walked over to the swings. No one was here so I knew that if Niall were here I would've seen him. I say on the swing for a while looking at my watch about every five minutes. Where was he? just when I was about to pull my phone out and text him someone came up behind me and covered my eyes. "Guess who" the person sang song in a think Irish accent.

"Uhm! Is it. . ." I paused to make it seem like I was thinking ". . .the cookie monster?" I said jokingly

"What? No it's me!" Niall walked in front of the swing to show me that it really was him.

"Yeah I know, I was messing with you" I gave him a cheeky grin cuz I knew I had fooled him.

"So first order of business, come with me m'lady" he said in a posh accent as we walked over to where he had set up a blanket on the ground with a lantern and a few games?

"What's this?" I asked obviously confused

"It's date number two" he said while holding up two fingers and looking at me with the cutest smile ever.

"Okay, so for date number two, we're playing bored games?"

"Not only bored games but I'm going to give you your first guitar lesson that I promised" I couldn't believe this, Niall is by far the best thing that could've happened to me.

It felt like were out here for only a couple minutes but it was put into perspective when Niall looked at his phone. "I should probably get you back to your flat, it's 11pm."

"Seriously?! how could it be that late already?"

"Time flys when you're having fun" He said as he flashed a smile.

We packed everything up and started walking to my flat. When we were about halfway there he slipped his hand in mine and intertwined our fingers.

We had reached my flat and we stood there in silence for a few moments before Niall spoke up "I had a great time tonight"

"Me too, I really loved playing the guitar, I've always wanted to learn"

He just smiled as he looked into my eyes, his eyes flicked from my eyes to my lips as I but my bottom lip. I realized our lips were only inches from touching when suddenly the door to my flat swung open.

Margaret just stood there for a minute before she spoke up "I'm so sorry I interrupted I'll just close the door"

"Now it's fine I was just about to leave, I had a great time tonight goodnight Nikki"

"Goodnight" I said with a forced smile.
