What kinda trap did I just walk into? Seriously, why the actual fuck is Spencer in my living room, sitting on my couch with my mom??
Y/n: Hey, Spence?
Sp: Mmh hmm.
Y/n: A word please.
I pulled him into the kitchen to talk. This crossed a boundary. When I told him I didn't need a babysitter, did he think I needed a fucking dad? That's not his responsibility. I'm quite capable of managing myself.
Y/n: What are you doing here?
Sp: I was outside because you left-
Y/n: I see you every weekend. You also could've texted. Why are you here right now?
Sp: Ok, I'm sorry. I pushed a boundary. I realize now that I probably look fucking insane showing up here. But, I wasn't completely honest with you.
Y/n: What does that mean?
Sp: I wasn't completely oblivious as to who your ex was.
He must be dumb if he thought I didn't know after last night. Of course he knew who Vinnie was, or else he wouldn't be so nervous about them showing up. He better not take me for a fool.
Y/n: Meaning..?
Sp: We haven't met before, but I heard about the two of you from someone else. Maybe it's time I explain who my ex is.
Y/n: Yea, that's only fair.
Sp: Ok, so...
*Spencer's POV*
"It started after Aria and I ended things. The two of us were never really dating, but we were sort of exclusive. We both started being interested in other people around the same time, so it ended very mutually. She went off with someone and I started talking to a few girls.
One of them stuck. Her name's Addie. We started talking seriously and one night we had a conversation, like a real hour long conversation instead of hooking up and we knew that there was something there.
We brought out the best in each other, which is one of the best feelings in the world. But it also means that that person has the power to turn you into your worst.
I had full trust in her, but clearly she didn't in me. Her best friend was super flirty. I even pointed it out. Addie appreciated that I wasn't oblivious and actually said something, but for some reason, she believed that I was reciprocating.
Truth is, I had no interest in anyone other than Addie and I thought she knew that. Sadly I was wrong.
Addie was telling her best friend all kinds of shit about me and saying that I didn't give her enough attention or treat her right when I spent every waking moment either with her or texting/on the phone with her. My entire life was her.
Her best friend moved to LA and she went to visit her. I stayed home. It was winter break, so it would have been nice to go, but I could not be on a trip with the two of them.
Anyways, her best friend got her invited to a party at a really big house. she was blown away by it and by how many people were there. I don't know who's house it was, I don't even think she knows who's house it was, but she went regardless. all I know now is that the people from last night were at this party.
Addie started talking to a guy who looked sad in the corner while her friend was elsewhere. They hit it off and hooked up. They both regretted it and swore not to tell because they were both in relationships. Addie told her best friend that she got with someone, but not who.
No one told me anything. I had no idea what was going on behind my back. All I knew is that when Addie came back, she was better than ever. We were doing so well. We had boundaries for our time and space. We had 'good' communication. We had great sex. We were doing really well.
Then Addie went to visit her best friend again 8 months later. They went back to another one of these parties but she didn't get with anyone this time. No, this time she got in a fight. Some of it was posted and I saw the comments. That's how I found out about her cheating. Her best friend called me and cried. Apparently, the guy Addie was with was the guy her best friend liked and was sort of obsessed with.
