*this is just the parents meeting and a court scene. yall can skip to the end and wait for the next chapter (smut)*

I was absolutely terrified. I didn't know if they were gonna like me or not. Or, if they would even want to meet the girl with the crazy ass friends, if that's what you would call them, that got their son in a car accident. I mean really, think about it. I'm the whole reason why Vinnie is in this mess. He wouldn't be in court right now if the people in my life weren't so fucked in the head. But, I guess all that I can do now is make a good impression, even if the first one wasn't too good.

Y/n: Hi, I'm Y/n. It's really nice to meet you, I've heard so much about you guys, especially you, Reggie.
R: Would you look at that? Big brother actually has a soft spot for me. How cute?
V: No, I don't.
R: Well, you definitely talk about me.
V: Not that much.
Y/n: Oh, don't sell yourself short. I'm pretty sure you just talked about him yesterday.
Lan: Yea, it's true. He was telling me how much he missed you. He's a real softie.
V: Not you too, Lan...
Lan: Sorry, bud.
R: I like y'all already.

One down, two to go. The scariest two of them all. I don't wanna seem too kiss ass-y, but I don't wanna seem rude or boring either. Fuck, what do I say?

VMom: Vinnie tells us that you're in school here. Is that right?
Y/n: Yea, I go to UCLA. I'm studying psychology.
VDad: Oh, that's great. Must make it hard on my boy, though. You can read him too easily.
Y/n: Well, I've found that he's not that hard to read, but it definitely helps.
VMom: I think it's just a girl thing. I can read him, his dad, and brother like it's nothing. Men aren't as good at hiding as they think they are.
Mom: Amen to that. I'm Y/n's mom, it's nice to finally meet you.

My mom walked away with Vinnie's mom. This can go one of four ways. One, they get along really well, maybe a little too well, and become really close friends who are supportive of our relationship. Two, they get super close, but don't really want us together. Three, they don't get along, but they see that we're doing good and want us to do whatever makes us happy. Or four, they don't get along and they hate the idea of us being together. I'm really hoping it's number one.

VMom: Ahh, you're the one who took him away for Christmas.
Mom: That's all my daughter, but we were lucky to have him.
VMom: He told me you guys were great company. Thank you for taking such good care of him.
Mom: Of course. He gets along with our family really well and Y/n loves him. My nephew, Landon, even stayed here a week longer than he was supposed to just so that he could hang out with Vinnie more. You have a great kid.
VMom: I'm really glad you think so. He told me about what happened. I almost flew down to LA to knock some sense into him. If I were you, I'd hate him.

Mom: Well, trust me, it wasn't easy when I saw him in the hospital. He had already hurt her so much, and I didn't want her to get hurt again. But, I talked to her for a long time about it. She really thinks that everything is gonna work out, and for their sake, I hope it does.
VMom: Yea, me too. He's never really talked to me about girls before, but he talks about her all the time. She makes him really happy. And I know it's selfish of me as a mom to want them to stay together forever so that smile on his face never fades, but they're still teenagers and they're bound to make mistakes. I just hope that that day doesn't come any time soon.
Mom: I hope so, too. Look at them, over there. They're in a mess right now, yet they still are so happy. It reminds me of myself when I was younger.
VMom: The good old days.
Mom: Exactly. Hey, do you wanna meet the rest of the family?
VMom: That would be great.

That went exceedingly well. I can't believe this is happening. They actually got along. Everyone is getting along. Reggie is just like Landon. My dad is just like Vinnie's. This is so weird. I feel like I'm in a movie. This couldn't have worked so well. This can't be real.
