Moving In S1Pt13 - I Just Wanted To Say Something Quickly

We were all about to eat but Vinnie's mom stopped us to say something.

VMom: Before we start, can I actually congratulate the two of you? You did a great job today. While, I had my doubts, and I had many doubts, it seems as if you two are committed to each other.

Mom: I'll add onto that. I may have even had more doubts than Maria. For lack of a better word, Vinnie, you fucked up last time and I did not think that my daughter was going to get back with you. But, after what happened today, I could tell that you are very serious about my girl. You also get along with our family so wel-
Aunt: Speak for yourself...
V: You know you'll grow to love me.
Aunt: Yea, I don't know about that.

Mom: Don't mins her. As I was saying... I trust that you won't mess up again and I can surprisingly say that I support the two of you. I also like your mom, so that helps.
V: Haha, I'm glas you guys are getting along. And I won't mess up again. I swear.
VMom: You better not because I just made a new friend.
V: You better not replace me, Mom.
VMom: I can't make any promises.

R: She really can't make any promises.
V: What does that mean?
R: Well, I'm living in your room, so, consider yourself replace.
V: Wait, what?? Mom! YOU LET HIM TAKE MY ROOM?!!
VMom: Oh, calm down. It was only fair. Your room is bigger and you moved out.
V: Ugh, fine... but you know what, Reg?
R: What?
V: Two can play the game of replacing.
R: Oh, really? And who are you gonna replace me with?
V: Why don't you ask your new friend, Lan?
Lan: Hey! Don't drag me into this!

We all started laughing and dinner actually went over really well. Our moms arraigned a lunch date for themselves tomorrow afternoon before their flights home. I'm sure we'll hear lots about it.

My parents are taking Landon with them when they go, though. I'm gonna miss him a lot. Vinnie's probably gonna miss him more, though. He'll be away from two brothers at the same time. Maybe we should get him a pet to fill the void.

We finished eating and Vin went in the kitchen with the moms to help clear the table. The rest of us stayed in our seats and kept talking. It was crazy how alike Reggie and Landon are.

*Vinnie's POV*
I know I shouldn't be nervous, but I am. Y/n's mom is fucking scary. I know she just approved of us and everything, but she has that look. That "fuck with my daughter and I'll fuck you up" look. That shit's terrifying.

I put the plates down and help Y/n's mom get the dessert. It's now or never, right? Just do it, pussy! Fine... here we go.

V: I have to ask you guys something.
VMom: Ok, what is it? You're not selling drugs, right? You better not be selling drugs.
V: What?! No! Mom. I have to ask you something, not tell you something.
VMom: Oh, ok. Go ahead.

I turn to face Y/n's mom. She has a suspicious look on her face. Jesus Christ, this woman is scary.

V: It's more directed at you.
Y/nMom: Ok, what is it, Vinnie? Just spit it out.
V: Uh, well... *fake coughs* I wanted to ask Y/n to be my girlfriend.
Y/nMom: Is she not your girlfriend already?
V: Well, not exactly.
Y/nMom: Right, I forgot about your "exclusive" thingy.
VMom: Yea, whatever that is is stupid. You're generation has so many names for things. Either you're just fucking or you're dating. There's no in between, so stop trying to make one.

I really did not want to hear that from my mother. I don't think anyone wants to hear about fucking from their parents. She's kinda right, though. We were never just fucking. Even that first day when I was helping her move in, there was an attraction there that was different from my other hook ups. She turned me into a fucking softie. I used to be the sarcastic fuckboy who got anyone he wanted. Or at least that's how I acted. But, somehow, she made me show my feelings. I don't know if I'm entirely happy about that, but I am happy to have her in my life.
