"Class, your project for this quarter is to make a thing that you want to invent in the future" I announced to the class while fixing my things from the teacher's desk.
"Maam, kailan po pasahan?" Nix asked with a raised hand.
"Next week. October 26" I answered and left them without any word. Iyong section na 'yon kasi ang pinaka-kinaiinisan ko dahil mga maiingay. Kahit ilang beses pagsabihan eh hindi nakikinig. Sila lang ang binigyan ko ng project dahil nga sa kakulitan.
'It serves as their punishment though'

One week had been passed at ito na nga. Nandito na ko sa section na kinababadtripan ko. Kung pwede lang sanang mag-shift ng section, ginawa ko na sana. Kaso kailangan kong magtiis. I am a teacher and my obligation is to teach students weather they're good or hardheaded.
"Did you all do your project?" I asked seriously. Looking at them one by one, directly in their eyes.
"Yes Maam!" they answered in unison.
"Okay, Castero first" I announced after I saw my class record. I want this to be in alphabatical order so it will be easy to record their presentation.
I sat down at the available chair at the back to make a good eye to eye contact to the presenter. With that, I saw something that caught my attention.
A Time Machine.
Nag-umpisa ang mga nonsense nilang mga project. Maayos ang mga project nila pero puro common things na. And the way they discussed it isn't good. Their way of speaking in front is funny. I gave most of them a low score for having a not-so-good-project with not entertaining discussion.
"Pardejo" tawag ko ulit sa sunod na estudyante. Pumunta sa likod si Erison Pardejo at kinuha ang project niya sa likod. Napailing ako sa pagka-disappoint nang makita kong sa kaniya ang time machine. Akala ko kay Samantha na pinakamatino dito sa klase. Paniguradong sasabihin n'yang gusto niyang bumalik sa nakaraan para pabalikin ang girlfriend n'ya. Nakakasawa. Karamihan sa mga presenter ay about sa past relationship ang tinutukoy.
"This is my project po. Time Machine and I want to invent it in the future to bring back my parents. I want to go back in the past and stop them in riding the bus so in that way, I will be with them forever" he said with a teary eye. Konti lang naman ang sinabi niya pero na-touch ako. 'Di ko expected na ganito ang nangyari sa pinakamakulit at kinaiinisan kong estudyante. Gusto n'ya ng time machine para maibalik ang parents nya. At mali ako ng husga dahil lang sa kakulitan niya.
'I guess, nobody has a right to judge someone. Especially when you didn't knew their point of view'
