You were back in that horrible dark place.
You could hear creatures circling around you.
Bubbling cries.
Terrifying screeches.
You were alone floating in the dark.
And Harry wasn't there to save you.

"Y/n, please wake up. Its just a dream, its not real. I'm here, I'm right here." You opened your eyes to see your boyfriend Harry, looking concerned.
You both were cuddling in the common room, and you must have fallen asleep.
"What is it? What's going on?" you said.
"You'd started mumbling in your sleep. At first I thought it was no big deal, but then you began crying and started calling for me." You lifted your fingers to your cheek and sure enough they came back wet with tears. The nightmares events played over and over in your head.
You reached forward and let Harry wrap his arms around you, nestling your head into his neck. He stoked his hand up and down your back while you played with the ends of his hair. Your heart slowly stopped pounding in your chest as you let yourself relax.
"Was it a nightmare?" he whispered quietly. You nodded your head. He began wiping your face dry. "What was it about?"
You felt yourself stiffen slightly.
"I was back there, and you weren't coming to get me. I was all alone ..." you drifted off not wanting to continue.
Instead you brought your lips to his, trying to get away from those thoughts. Harry seemed to understand that you didn't want to talk about it.
Soon you both settled back down for the night, and you smiled when Harry laid a protective arm around you. Your back was pressed firmly into his chest, and with each breath he took you felt more and more at ease.
"I'll always be here for you, Y/n. You'll never be left alone."
