The morning of your date you wore your cute V-neck house sweater and your nicest jeans. You didn't want to over do it, because you were pretty sure Oliver didn't go for that sort of thing. He was more blunt about what he wanted and it definitely wasn't super short shorts and crop tops. Not to mention you preferred wearing jeans anyway.

You brushed out your hair one more time and added a touch of gloss to your lips before walked down to the common room a little early. Oliver was leaned up against the wall, arms crossed. His eyes followed you down the stairs. You could see why so many girls pined after him. The boy's sharp jaw line and deep brown eyes made your stomach flutter as he watched you. When you neared he reached out with his palm up.

Bloody Merlin, Oliver Wood wants to hold your hand. You blushed and slipped your fingers into his calloused ones.

"Ready?" he asked, pulling you towards the door.

"Very."

He guided you out, and as the two of you walked to Hogsmead, you talked about the scrimmage. You were aware that some girls would rather talk about things other than Quiditch on their first date, but you honestly didn't care. Despite the fact that Oliver was the reason you got into the sport, you truly grew to love it just as much if not more than any other player on the team. Oliver had been really impressed with your playing yesterday.

"You were incredible, Y/n. How'd yeh learn to do those moves?" he asked. "They were really advanced."

"Well after last year, when I didn't make the team, I decided that I needed more practice." You looked out over your surroundings as you talked. "And since the Hogwarts teams practiced during the day, I started practicing in the pitch at night. If I wanted to learn a new move I'd visit the library and check out a book, and of course I went to all the Gryffindor games as well." You didn't notice as you were too busy staring at a butterfly, but Oliver's respect for you grew with each thing you said.

You guys decided to go Honydukes and stock up on sugary treats. Turns out Oliver has a sweet tooth. You laughed when you saw the enormous amount of candy in his bag.

"What's so funny?" he asked when he saw you.

"Your bag is practically overflowing," you replied, pointing at the pieces of candy that were about to spill out onto the floor.

"What can I say? I live to play Quiditch and stuff myself with chocolate cauldrons."

He paid for your candy, and you both walked out trying the rainbow lollies that made your tongue change color every time you opened your mouth. You and him decided to head to the Leaky Cauldron next.

When you walked in you, noticed Katie Bell and her friend glaring at you. She was livid. Apparently you were not as much of a  distraction when it came to quiditch as she was.  You also saw Denice and Ava discretely waving at you and giving you thumbs up. You were originally supposed to come here with them, but they completely understood when you told them about your crush on Oliver. Once you and him were sitting at the table, you decided to confess something. Even if it changed how Oliver saw you.

"If I'm being honest, I tried out for Quiditch last year was because I wanted to impress you. I started liking it afterwards." You eyes were down and you fidgeted with your hands on the table as you continued talking. "I don't want you to think that the only reason I'm on the team is because I like you, I bloody love this sport, but I thought I ought to tell you the real reason I got into it."

You waited for him to say something, anything, while your eyes stayed glued to the table. You hoped this didn't make him disgusted with you. You looked up in surprise when his hand grabbed yours from across the table.

"There's nothin wrong with that." He rubbed a circle into your knuckles. "Everyone gets into Quiditch for different reasons, but very few players have as much skill as you. It's obvious yeh really enjoy playin. Not to mention yer really talented. I think I'm more proud to have a girl such as yourself be interested in a guy like me." A cheeky smile. The way he looked at you made your brain turn to mush in your head, and he gave your hand one last squeeze before letting go.

The drinks had arrived. The two of you spent the rest of the evening enjoying each others company. It was so easy to talk to him; you found yourself completely relaxed around the boy. When it was finally time to leave, he grabbed your hand and together, you and him walked back to Hogwarts in the most comfortable silence you'd ever felt. There was no need for words. It was just you and him.

You felt a tug on your wrist, and turned to Oliver, who had a serious look in his eyes, making goosebumps rise along your body. Torturously slow, he reached his hand to your neck  where the goosebumps were, and brushed his thumb along your skin all the way down to your collar bone before bringing his eyes back up to your face. Everything about you felt hot under his gaze.

Coming incredibly closer, Olive tilted your chin up. His lips hovered just above yours, so incredibly close you felt like you might die if he didn't kiss you in one second. This boy had done things to your mind. Not that you cared.

He didn't bothered to hide the fact that he was looking directly at you lips as he spoke, his voice deep yet quiet. "Is this alright?"

Great Merlin. You gave an almost an imperceptible nod of your head, and Oliver swiftly slid one hand up into your hair and pulled you against him, letting his lips find yours. An entirely new feeling entered your body. The kiss tasted of butter beer and felt like fire on your lips.

All to soon, he pulled away, but you immediately grabbed his collar, pulling his lips right back down to yours. He wrapped his arms around your waist, and smiled into the kiss at your enthusiasm. You took you time before finally releasing him and sitting back down on your heels satisfied and breathless.

Oliver tilted your chin up to look in your eyes.

"Y/n," he said, smiling softly. "I really enjoyed bein' with you today. Your different from the other girls. You understand me." His shifted nearer. "Yer strong, gorgeous, and an amazing quiditch player." As he spoke his mouth was so close to yours, you felt the caress of each word he said on your lips. "I'll be damned if I let you get away. That being made clear, I have something to ask." He leaned back so you could see his entire face, as he spoke his next , "Will you be me girlfriend?"

You barley had time to think before you jumped up and hugged him, letting him swing you around as he chuckled

"That'd be a yes?" You rolled your eyes playfully.

"I Y/n L/n, take the wonderful Oliver Wood as my incredibly strong and handsome boyfriend." His smile grew at everyone one of your words despite your sarcastic undertone. "Now shut up and kiss me."
