Special Chapter # 01

It has been seven months since we've got married.

Parang kailan lang, Travis cried while he's telling his vows before me. I was, too, tearing up while saying my vows for him. Never did I expect na sa amin din pala magtatapos lahat. I already prepared myself to build my own life with our child.

But I guess life was full of surprises. And Travis Montenegro? He's my bittersweet surprise.

I looked at the wide land of Real the Montenegros owned. Until now, I couldn't really believe that Travis was a real-life haciendero! I remembered before when I asked him what life he's gonna choose after we get married. His father back then was asking him if he could now go back to the MRE.

"Honestly, prinsesa, I don't want to go back anymore," Travis answered to me with a sigh. We were sitting in the garden at the back of our house.

I got surprised at him. "Why?"

"I just don't see myself wearing corporate attire anymore." He even shrugged. "I enjoy my life more on the hacienda."

I was astonished by seeing how he was passionate in saying that he wanted to devote his life to Real. Nakita ko nga 'yon noon pa man. He's more interested in cultivating their land than being in the business industry.

I nodded. "I see."

Travis stared at me. "Will this be okay with you?" my brows furrowed in confusion. "I mean, living together with me in Real?"

Suddenly, I laughed.

"Of course! To whom would you think I should live my life? Alangan naman, I'd just let you live in Real 'tapos nandito naman ako in Manila?"

"You're an architect, remember?"

I caressed his cheek with my eyes hooded. This man...

"Travis, I'm game with settling down. Wala naman sa 'kin kung 'di ko na magagamit 'yong license ko. I can still actually use my profession. Uso na 'yong home-based work." He looked doubtful, so I smiled. "Come on. Don't be afraid of my decision. Ikaw 'tsaka si baby 'yong importante sa 'kin ngayon. I can still do what I really love. Kahit pa sa hacienda n'yo pa 'yan."

Later on, he smiled back. He radiates every time he smiles. "Fine. Just tell me if we need to go back here. How about visiting your family here in Manila?"

"Sinabi ko na kina Dad na twice every month tayo bibisita. Okay lang ba sa 'yo?"

"If you'd like, we can do that at least four times per month. Just afraid Dad's gonna kill me."

We both laughed again.

"Thank you, prinsesa." My lips parted a bit. "Thank you for living your life with me."

"I thought 'tapos na 'yong vows natin? May aftermath pa pala?" I said jokingly, laughing because he was never got tired of thanking me every day. 'Di niya lang alam, he was making my heart flutter.

"I just wanna thank you," he said seriously. "It's a big decision for you to settle down and to choose us over your career."

"Because you both are my life, Travis." I held his hand and squeezed it gently. "I always see my life living with you as your wife."
