Hotel troubles

Haneul POV~
Today was our second concert and the morning started great. We had just finished morning practice and went out to lunch and our manager had us return to our hotels to wash up before we did a soundcheck. The day had been really rainy and just gave off a feeling of tiredness. Me and Daniel were messing around in our room when a typhoon warning went off on our phone. Our manager was at his hotel room, so Daniel and I didn’t know what to do.

“I know we have typhoons in Korea, but I've never actually been in the middle of one. Should we call our manager? Maybe we should get the other members and stay together” Daniel and I huddled together in a corner while I called up the manager.

“So manager. What do we do? Don’t we have a concert tonight?”

“Yes, but me and the staff agreed to cancel the concert tonight, and we suggest to not leave your hotel room and try to stay together please. The other members agreed to come over to your room so stay safe boys”

Me and Daniel sat near the corner away from the windows as the members came knocking on our door. Daniel got up and went over to the door and unlocked it so the members could come in. We all ended up piling into the bathroom with all our blankets, phones and pillows. Junwoo, Si-woo and I squeezed together in the bathtub while Daniel laid outside the bathtub, while Hyun-Jung and Seo-Jun gathered in the shower near the corner. (For reference, they are staying at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Tokyo)

“You think our tour for the rest of the week is cancelled?” Daniel asked as we all looked at each other.

“There may be a high chance of not being able to do our tour and then just heading off to America now. At least in America there won’t be a bunch of typhoons” I said as everyone nodded in agreement.

“Everyone we should try to stay off our phones, unless someone has portable chargers” Hyun-Jung said as Seo-Jun tried to avoid his gaze, meaning he had some chargers.
“I think we can survive this! Haneul has stocked up on ramyeon, and Seo-Jun has a portable charger. And we have blankets and pillows everyone brought from their rooms, so we’ll stay in here until the manager says it's okay to come out” Daniel tried to stay optimistic, but staying in the bathroom wasn’t very fun and it was starting to hurt my back being crowded in the bathtub with Junwoo and Si-woo.

“Do we have to stay in the bathroom? Let’s just sit in the actual room and stay away from the window” I was getting antsy at this point. I enjoyed bouncing around and being loud, not being stuck in a bathroom with 5 other people during a typhoon.

While we were all sitting in silence Hyun-Jung’s phone started going off. “Hyun-Jung, okay you and all the members need to stay high! There is slight flooding on the bottom floors so boys you need to stay in the bathroom. Stay safe, sadly whenever this typhoon ends we must head out to America”

“Thanks manager! We’ll keep Haneul under control”

“Why? Is Haneul being-” Hyun-Jung quickly hung up the phone cutting him off half way. We all started laughing at Hyun-Jung because we all know he did it on purpose to set off the manager and make him worry I’ll break something else.

Time Skip~
We had all been stuck in this hotel for hours. People on twitter were upset we couldn’t do the concert today so we felt nice enough to do one quick VLive.

“Hello NextGen!” Daniel started as we all slightly waved.

The screen was showing me, Si-woo and Junwoo all in the bathtub, Daniel sitting on the floor near the door and Seo-Jun and Hyun-Jung popping their heads out the shower.

“Yeah sorry everyone, we are stuck in the middle of a typhoon so our concert is cancelled for the rest of our time in Japan. We will come back after our America tour and do concerts we will miss again, so your tickets will not go to waste one bit!” Hyun-Jung was speaking with NextGen as I got control of the Ipad to read the comments.

“Daniel! If Quill was a girl would you marry him?”

“If Quill was a girl? Probably” He started laughing as everyone snickered at his comment.

“Where is Quill? Quill is on a hiatus, so for the tour it will just be us 6! He sends apologies and love, but he is right now in America relaxing”

“Haneul! Why were you not at the fanmeet?” Junwoo said aloud while he was looking over my shoulder.

“Yes Haneul you want to explain that?” Si-woo making a small gesture to the camera.

“Okay, okay. I broke a mirror and put a hole in the wall at Hybe Japan. K sunbaenim gave me a lecture and Pledis’ CEO told me I was not allowed to attend that fansign as punishment, because apparently I don’t learn my lesson”

“You don’t! He has broken so many things it's unbelievable!” Daniel said as everyone started laughing, other than me of course.

“Si-Woo can you marry me?” I started laughing half way through as his face turned slightly red.

“Get permission first” He quickly said as he started gesturing to me to read another comment.

“Seo-Jun, you say you're a track star? Well you ran right into my heart!”

Seo-Jun started slightly screaming as everyone teased him about the comment. “That was so clever! Why was that so clever?!”

“Junwoo, you look so good with light purple hair!”

“Ah! Thank you so much”

“Seo-Jun, you should keep your hair mint green!”

“That was kind of my plan, but thank you!”

“Hyun-Jung totally rocks his pink hair”

“I know I do” He dramatically flipped his hair as we all laughed at his face.

“Ah, Daniel it’s an english comment” I handed the Ipad over to Daniel as he started reading the comment. “I’m definitely an ot6. Quill would’ve done better as an American artist, becoming a K-pop idol is really just for people from Japan, Korea, China, and any other asian countries. No mean to hate, just stating facts”

The room fell silent and heavy. Daniel tried to find a new comment that was good, but there were some other English comments agreeing with that person.

“Quill just reminds me of an attention seeker, I mean whoever watched the Enhypen and Gen10 episode would know how he was with Jay”

“Even during predebut, I could tell he just wanted attention. He isn’t that good of a rapper anyway, so why is he a Main rapper? Also he barely lets any of the others talk in interviews, it was just him. During the Seventeen and Gen10 episodes he made it obvious that he wanted attention by pretty much clinging to all the Seventeen members”

“Daniel stop, hand Haneul the Ipad again” Hyun-Jung quickly stated as Daniel handed over the ipad back to me.

We stayed silent for a while, but I decided to say something. I’ll stand up for Quill. “Quill talks a lot in interviews because he’s our leader! He doesn’t bully anyone and he isn’t an attention seeker! If you knew what went on behind the scenes you’d understand why he was close with Jay and Seventeen sunbaenim! Jay approached him first and they created a team and became quick friends. Seventeen sunbaenim pretty much loved Quill at first sight, so during both shows he was close with them because of them! Quill did nothing wrong and if people keep hating on him, I’ll personally cancel the tour!”

“Someone calm down Haneul hyung!” Daniel jokingly yelled to lighten up the mood.

“Now, back to reading comments!” Junwoo snatched the Ipad away from me before I snapped it in half.

The rest of the Vlive went great, even after we finished I was scrolling through tiktok using my friends account and so many people were reposting what I said and saying I should do this more often. I’m glad there are still some NextGen on Quill’s side.
