Unknown Trainee

The audition

I wasn't prepared to be first up so when the producers called me I froze in place and Daniel had to give me a small shove to head up to the stage. I went up there and grabbed a mic and looked over at the producers.

"Please introduce yourself"

"Oh, My name is Quill and I was born in Seoul but moved to the States when I was 6 and just recently moved back to audition"

"Okay Quill whenever you're ready"

The music I had prepared earlier started and I started my audition.

I thought my audition went smoothly, I rapped every word pretty well and S.Coups seemed very pleased with me and even gave me a small wink as I walked off the stage. I stood back in line beside Daniel as he gave me an approving nod and thumbs up.

Names after names were being called until Daniel finally got called up. He looked over at me and I gave him a smile and thumbs up as he walked to the stage.

"Hello my name is Daniel Kim and my Korean name is Kim Dong-Kyu. I was on the show I-Land and was a former Be:Lift trainee before I changed to this company"

He started his audition and his singing was wonderful. He sometimes did cute little hand movements and kept a big smile on his face. He truly seemed like an idol. I could barely see him through all the giant guys, but I saw Woozi giving an approving nod and whispering something to Hoshi as Daniel finished up his song. He came back down to me and we both got prepared for the next part. Dance audition.

We had gotten a 5 minute break so Daniel and I were running through our choreographies really quick before we started. We were to do two dances and I chose Stray Kidz 'Thunderous' and Seventeen's 'Pretty U'. I wanted to show two separate sides of me, but now since Seventeen is here judging us I want to make sure I'm perfect when dancing to their song. Daniel was off practicing 'Fake Love' and he had chosen 'Any Song' just like the one he did before entering I-Land. Once again his talents were so much better than mine and it made me even more nervous because I had never been a trainee, I was a self-trainee before coming here so everything I knew was pretty much self-taught thanks to my father ,who was a music producer, and youtube.

After our five minute break we were called up again one by one and this time I was at least the twentieth person to go up. Since we already introduced ourselves I just went up there. They told me whenever I was ready to start and my music started, so I just pretended no one was there and I was in my room practicing.

After I was finished I went back to Daniel who was one of the first to go and he gave me an approving thumbs up. Now since the audition is done we wait for the results.
