"proowww" patches says, tilting her head at george whose been pacing around the house all day,
"i know patches. i know. i miss him too." george says as he picks up his feline companion, "meow." patches says as george coddles her in their arms.

"i don't want to text him. he's catching up with his mom." he says as he sits on the couch, setting patches down on his lap.

"mrrrow" patches purrs as she makes biscuits like the baker she is.

"fine. i'll ask." george says as he pulls out his phone.

george: hey, you doing okay?

dream: you miss me already?

george: patches does, i don't.

dream: mhm.

george: when are you coming back

dream: tonight, i might bring mom so she can stay with us, is that okay with you?

george: yeah! where will she sleep?

dream: my room, your room. whichever one is best for you. we can share a bed for the night or i can sleep in the office.

george: alright, i'll get my bedroom ready! i haven't unpacked everything yet.

dream: that's fine! she understands.
