It's Official! (Oh Is It?)

7 a.m. when I woke up in the morning.  But it's okay, anyway. Sinadya ko talagang gumising ng gantong oras, kasi naman eh, 3 days na naghahanda ang buong school namin para sa "Visitation of the Other Clan" na pa-echos ng mismong school namin.

Kung ako tatanungin, hindi na kailangan ng pa-ganyang effect, pa-VIP naman sila.
Hindi naman sa KJ ah, eh kasi napapagod na ako eh, ako lagi e, monitor this, monitor that, make sure everything will be alright. Were all trusting you? Oh, di'ba para kang hindi student.

Manang Ely asked me why I woke up late, and I told her that we were just having some preparations at school. No class lectures.
She prepared me bacon, a sunny side egg, and ham for my breakfast. I told her, na kaya ko, namang gumawa mag-isa ng kakainin ko, but Manang just insisted. She even gave me milk.

Whew! Ginagawa nila akong, baby!
Mom and Dad were not around already. My twin brother went to school early for his basketball practice.

"Kiaannaaa!!!!"

'Yan agad ang bungad sa akin ni Chary pagkababa ko ng kotse. Hinatid ako ni manong Nato, our family driver.

"Oh, bakit? Napano ka?"

"Wala. But pinapatawag ka kasi ni ma'am Lopez. Kanina ka pa nila hinahanap."
Tumango ako kay Cha and went straight to the faculty room.

It was a brick-like wall painted with white paint. Maluwag at air-conditioned Sa Loob. May mga designated tables also for the faculties na parang sa mga opisina.  Naabutan ko ang ilang campus staff doon, so I greeted them.

Ms. Lopez waved at me as she saw me enter. Her table is adjacent to the corner, close to the glassy window.  She gestured for me to take a seat. So I went closer to her, smiling. Naupo ako sa narra chair na nasa gilid.

"Pinatawag kita kasi alam ko ikaw ang pinaka-responsible student na handle ko. Aside from the youth president and Supreme Student VP, Ikaw ang pinaka. Well, I assigned you together with the whole team to take charge sa mga bisita natin. Supreme President Lucy assigned sa program at ikaw naman ang magto-tour sa mga bisita sa buong campus."

"I don't want to sound like complaining, but ma'am, why me?" Duro ko sa sarili ko
"Because you are the most outstanding student on this campus."

"But ma'am, I'm a flight attendant student, not a tour guide."

"I know. Hindi lahat ng oras ay flight attendant ka. Sometimes kailangan mong maging iba sa mga profession para makatulong ka. Don't stick to one thing. At isa pa, hindi ba't halos pareho lang yun?"

"But ma'am," I protested.

Hindi naman sa ayaw ko, kaya lang ayaw ko namang tumaas pa ang expectation nila sa akin, paano kung hindi ko pala magawa? Edi disappointment?

"No more buts, Ms. Alcantara. My decision is final." Just do it. Prove that you can do that task. I am entrusting you with this one. "

"Huuyyyy!"

I was woken up by the voice of Chary. I almost forgot that I was with them.
"Tulala ka diyan. Sino iniisip mo?" Keisha asked.

"Wala". Walang gana kong sagot.

"Kung wala eh bakit affected ka masyado? Look at yourself; you look so haggard." Chary raised a brow.  I heaved a sigh.

"Oh, what's your problem, ba? Tell us," Alessana butted in.

Since, kukulitin lang naman ako ng mga ito, kaya kinuwento ko na lang ang nangyari.

"Oh, yan lang naman pala eh. Don't mind it that much, okay?" Ales uttered.
