NOTES:

🔹 Jiu [慈雨] means 'welcomed rain' which can be interpreted in 2 ways:
i) Allusion of Hua Cheng (Crimson Rain Sought Flower). So the title would mean 'kiss of Hua Cheng'.
ii)'a rain that comes after a drought', referring to Book 2 of the novel.

🔹 (1)- Here water is used as a metaphor for'the feelings', where they are held back by something as weak and thin as surface tension of water. It further conveys 'once it overflows, those feelings can't go back to how they were before'.
