Nusaiba rolled her eyes at her friends and continue completing her note.
"It always reminds us of maths assignment"bilkis complained
"And it's always maths, I swear that teacher never fails to give assignments is like if he doesn't something bad will happen to him"bintu returts
"Goddd you guys like complaining, you should even be greatful, you guys are privileged to come to school and can even complain about maths assignment, there are children that will do anything just to be in your shoes" Nusaiba reasons with her friends but unknown to her bilkis took an offense to what she said
"Toh Miss ITK( I too know) you're always trying to look as if you're the bigger person amongst us, what was wrong with what we said, we didn't say that we where not grateful with the position we're in but you always try to make fault In every slightest thing we do" bilkis roared at Nusaiba with clinched fists. Nusaiba was flabbergasted with how bilkis reacted even bintu stared at the girl and everyone's attention was on them because bilkis more like shouted at Nusaiba. Bintu dragged them out of the class because their maths teacher isn't back yet.
"What was that you too"bintu question them both in other not to take sides
"Why don't you ask miss goody two shoes here" bilkis pointed at Nusaiba while glaring daggers at her.
" what do you mean bilkis, I'm not going to tolerate your attitude bilkis, don't think because I'm quite I'll let you humiliate me in from of our class" Nusaiba spat with anger, she doesn't know what's wrong with the bilkis but she'll definitely not going to tolerate her shenanigans
"What was wrong with what I said bintu, I'm just telling you guys the truth I didn't mean to be offensive, even if I'm being an ITK like this girl said 'she pointed at bilkis' you guys can tell me and I'll stop since you feel offended but what's the need to fight over this" Nusaiba said while glaring at bilkis, bilkis just folded her arms she thought about what Nusaiba said and even if she won't admit it she knows Nusaiba is right as always but pride won't let her apologize.
Seeing that bilkis is not ready to reply her Nusaiba started walking away but bintu held her hand, she yanked her hand away from bintu's and went back to the class.
" you know what you did was uncalled for right" bintu gave bilkis a pointed look, bilkis just fiddled with her fingers clearly feeling guilty.
"If you're offended by what she said you could have said so and we'll resolved this issue quietly but you with your anger issues can't take that you just had to humiliate her"bintu clearly looked annoyed but bilkis still didn't say anything , she lifted bilkis chin so that she could face her.
"You'll have to apologize to her ok"
Bilkis was about to answer her when they got interrupted by someone.
"What are you girls doing outside of your class" Shamsu asked to two girls in from of him, he looked directly at bintu indicating that he wants her to answer.
"We.... uhm.... we...." bintu stammered because she doesn't know what to say, all she knows is that their in deep trouble and she also knows the principals is not in good terms with her mother so more reason for her to be in deep trouble
'Ya Allah please help me' she was screaming all sort of prayers that come to her mind.
Shamsu was amused by bintu, she looks like she's about to pea in her pants, he tore his gaze from her to their classroom and asked "where is your teacher"
"His in his office, he went to get our notebooks"bilkis answered
"Ok which subject"
"Mathematics"
"Alright, you too should go back to your class, I don't want to see anyone outside their classroom, even if there isn't any teacher, is that clear" Shamsu said sternly
"Yes sir" they both said before rushing to their class.
Shamsu smiles at bintu's retreating figure
"She's just like her mother" he said to himself before moving forward to monitor the other classes.

At the principal's office, Shamsu was telling Mr babble about the extra lesson of the SS 3 students and the JSS 3 student, he want the student to be well prepared for their upcoming WAEC/NECO exams, he doesn't want any student from the school to fail. After informing Mr babale, the man informed the teachers of the principal's idea about the extra lessons, they all agreed and also inform the SS/JSS3 students they won't be closing with the other students rather they will be having an extra lesson till their exams commence.
Some of the SS3 students where excited mostly boys, not because of the extra lessons though but because it means they could spend more time with their girlfriends 'some of which are their mate'
While some of the JSS3 students where not happy more especially those that go to Islamiyya
Even if the extra lesson was for their own good, bintu still didn't like the idea, she was fuming with anger "all this is because of that principal, I mean what of our Islamic school, what of my practicals, Allah if I fail to do the Hadith that I was assigned to, wallahi I'll never forgive him"
"And is not like we're not going to pass if we don't do this extra lesson, I mean what happened to the set before us, did they fail" bilkis was Adding fuel to the fire because bintu was beyond livid. Nusaiba tried to reason with them but she decided against because she's still angry at bilkis so she ignored them both.
"Keh is it only you that goes to islamiyya neh that you want to disturb us with your banta" barau, a boy behind them said, his known for his troublesome behavior so they just glared at him but didn't say anything
"Mtswww" the boy hissed clearly annoyed at they ignored him.
"Bintu"Zarah Yarimah one of her classmates called.
Bintu raised her head up, she couldn't even answer because she was not in the mood for what ever the girl wants
"If you like don't answer, your mother is the one calling you not me"Zarah hissed and went back to her sit
Bintu walked out of the class, she saw her mom with Mrs Niima leaning against the bogglers opposite their class.
"Good Afternoon" bintu greeted them both and they answered
"Mummy, you called for me"bintu asked
" yes, I was wondering about how we'll do with your islamiyya since now you'll have to stay in school for extra lesson" ladi said
"I was thinking the same thing too mummy, what about my practical I really don't think I can handle it if I fail" bintu pouts
" you'll not fail, stop saying that, that's why we're here to look for a solution for those of you that have islamiyya" ladi scolds her daughter, she doesn't like bintu's impatience, the girl is just like her father, she always want things to go her way and ladi doesn't like that kind of behavior, that's the same thing that causes dispute between her and her late husband Tanimu.
" why don't you write an exist for her when it's time for closing so that she'll go with the other students during closing time" Niima suggested
"Yes you're right I think that's the only thing we can do and let's hope that the principal will agree" ladi said then gestured for bintu to go back to class
"of course he'll agree"Niima winked
Ladi mouthed whatever before following her friend.
