My name is Iona Duncan, but my friends call me Nyx. The only person who calls me by my real name is my teachers and my dad. I was born on March 12, 1980, in Scotland to two pureblood wizards. My Scottish accent is pretty heavy, but it is not understandable. The languages I am fluent in, thanks to my overbearing dad, are English, Russian, Gaelic, Parseltongue, and Goobledegook. My skin colour is white, but I tan easily in the summer so I stay tanned for most of the year.

The shape of my body is similar to that of my CR self. A flat stomach and thicker thighs that still have a gap. However, my bumb and breasts are slightly larger in my DR. The colour of my eyes and hair are the same as my CR self (Blue/Black), but my hair is waist length and wavy. My face is framed by longer curtain braids, which I like to pull back into a braid most days. 

My aesthetic is a mix between a dark academia aesthetic, basic fall girl aesthetic, and alternative/emo. It depends on what I'm feeling but I can always promise you that I'm wearing dark colours and shades at all times. Pretty much only black and grey maybe some dark browns, but mostly black.

I do not have acne or acne scarring in my DR. The structure of my face is similar to my CR self. But my DR self's lips are bigger, my cheeks are higher, and I have more of a cat-eye. My tattoos are the same as the ones I have in my CR, but I also have a small snake on my hip (signifying I can speak to serpents) and the numbers '1980' behind my ear. All of my piercings are the same as my CR self, but my DR self also has a daith, anti-tragus, conch, and vertical tragus. 

3. MY DR SELF BACKGROUND/PAST

This section is where you describe your family, influential memories or events, and your friends and other relationships. However, keep in mind that you will also be detailing your DR life in another section. Keep the focus of your past DR self in mind for this one.

Take your time and explain who exactly your family is. You can go into a lot of detail or a little amount of detail, your choice. But, you need to make sure you explain anything that will affect your life in your DR.

When I was born, my birth was celebrated more than any of the siblings that came before me. My father had always wanted a daughter. One that looked like the perfect mix of him and my mother. My mother was the opposite, wanting all three of my brothers to look like replications of my dad. 

My father is Murdoch Duncan, a pureblood wizard known for his ability to talk to serpents. Surprisingly, his best friend is Severus Snape. Their personalities are completely different, but they just mesh together. 

My mother, on the other hand, is Leanne Duncan. She was raised in an extremely wealthy and powerful family, the Malfoy's. Yes, Draco is a distant cousin of mine. Narcissa is my mother's older sister. However, my mother couldn't be any more different than the Malfoy's. She is so sweet and kind, not a bad bone in her family. Naturally, that made her an outcast.  

My siblings and I are all close, both in age and in friendship. Having three older brothers is certainly a treat. Bowen is 17 - he's the one I'm closest with, and he's the most overprotective - and Teague and Brodie are 18, they're twins. And yes, they do become friends with the Weasley twins from a young age. Mr. Weasley and my father are also close friends.
