During this title reign, he would return to being known as Shinsuke Nakamura, due to relinquishing his crown and his "King" name due to the 2021 King of the Ring Tournament taking place during this title reign.

Lost The Title To: Sami Zayn officially on February 11th 2022 at an episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, however WWE recognises the title change taking place on February 18th 2022, due to the match being shown on the latter date due to tape delays.

WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships [Reign #1]: Won with Cesaro from "The New Day's" Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods on July 19th 2020 at WWE's The Horror Show at Extreme Rules 2020 in a Tables Match, defeating both Kofi and Big E (who were representing "The New Day" for the match). 

With this win, it became the third year in a row where Nakamura had won a championship match at Extreme Rules.

Lost The Titles Back To: "The New Day's" Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods on October 9th 2020 on the episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown that hosted Night 1 of the 2020 WWE Draft.

During this reign - not too long into the build-up towards the same years Survivor Series - Nakamura and his ally/mouth piece Sami Zayn binned the classic white strap design, and replaced it with the current design for the title.

Lost The Title To: Braun Strowman on January 31st 2020 on an episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

WWE United States Championship [Reign #2]: Won back from Rusev, 40 days after losing the title to him (though WWE recognises the time gap between Nakamura losing the title and regaining it as 32 days, due to a tape delay of when the match was shown), on January 27th 2019 at WWE's Royal Rumble 2019 during the Pre-Show, due to an unintended distraction to Rusev from Lana after the latter was knocked off the apron after attempting to distract Nakamura and seemingly got injured.

Lost The Title To: R-Truth, surprisingly at the time, on January 29th 2019 on the episode of WWE Tuesday Night Smackdown Live that took place after Royal Rumble, due to a supposed botch.

Lost The Title To: Rusev officially on December 18th 2018 on an episode of WWE Smackdown Live, though WWE recognises the title change taking place on the December 25th 2018 Christmas Day episode of Smackdown Live, due to the title match taking place on a tape delay, along with the episode in question.

NXT Championship [Reign #2]: Won back from Samoa Joe, 14 days after losing the title to him (however WWE recognises the title change taking place 13 days after losing the title back to "The Samoan Submission Machine"), on December 3rd 2016 at an episode of NXT (even though some sources say this was actually a Live Event in Japan, not an episode of NXT).

With this title win, Nakamura became only the second 2 Time NXT Champion in the titles history, with Samoa Joe becoming the first 2 Time NXT Champion when Nakamura lost his first NXT Championship to Samoa Joe.

Lost The Title To: Bobby Roode on January 28th 2017 at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio.
