Our Midsummer Night's Dream

"It is still sunny here; I do not care"

"It is twilight here; I am all alone"

"I cannot wait to see the sunset"

"I cannot wait to see you appear"

"My spirit will come when the night is young"

"My heart cannot wait for the twilight shadow to arrive"

"But there is nothing to be done until the night is born?"

"But there is, take a sip of nightshade"

"So, I can take a rest, from reality"

"So, your soul can expire, on an autumnal bed of golden leaves"

"With grace, it will help me to sleep the day away"

"With grace, it will hasten your earthly curtain fall?"

"Have no fear, my love, for when our hands touch my life on earth, will be done."

"Have no fear, my love, for I will grasp you by the hand, you will not fall."

Footnote:

I felt inspired to meet this challenge ahead of schedule but was never quite sure where it was taking me. So, I reached out with pen in hand and found myself mixing a blend of:

'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and 'Romeo and Juliet'.

And in this dream, it seems, that the taste of love is bittersweet for both day and night.
