Why?
Why do rivers flow?
Why do winds blow?
Why do cattle low?
Why do cocks crow and crows caw?
Why do you carry that rabbit's paw?
Why, because my heart has a flaw?
Why, is it out of rhythm?
Why, didn't you let me know?
Why, because I did not want you to keep me in tow.
Why, I will always be there, after all I am your shadow?
Why, because to me you are more than just my side show?
Why, because without you I would have no afterglow?
F/N: I have tried to capture the essence of reflection in the poem, to match the challenge of reflecting the same letter at the beginning and end of each line. The shadow I guess is obvious a heart rhythm is something like an echo of your heart's beat, it can be a pain.
