Kota: Family Meeting at my place tonight.

Nathan re-read the text message his eyebrows furrowing together slightly. Family meetings were always announced by Mr. Blackbourne. They had a system of course it always fluctuated depending on if a mission went wrong or something came up with the Academy but they typically had meetings bi-weekly.

Check-in on everyone's family, mental health, Academy check in's.

Mr. Blackbourne and Kota normally called to check in with everyone on any changes in assignments weekly but meeting up weekly changed slightly with the new assignment at Ashely Waters. Between schoolwork, academy work, helping uncle with the diner, and dealing with their families. Life had gotten a little hectic.

Nathan didn't have to worry too much about the latter seeing as how his dad tended to stay away.

He'd gotten used to being alone at his house for the most part. Of course, the guys were always in and out but by the end of the night, they all had to go home.

It was different now with Sang and James around.

Nathan always got excited about having one of the girls spend the night. It made home feel less...lonely.

Nathan shook his head as he focused back in on their group chat. A little riddled as to the random family meeting Kota had placed.

Silas: Did we have a meeting scheduled tonight?

Luke: Seriously I was hoping to make breakfast for dinner with Sang! And I thought it was my turn to watch Gabe and James at the diner?

Nathan couldn't help but chuckle slightly at that text, the pair got completely engrossed in their artwork. Normally Gabe was very finicky about having anyone see his work before it was done but after the pair forgot to eat and worked well into the night they all agreed that they needed a supervisor.

They were both adamant about everyone not seeing the finished pieces so Gabe ended up hanging some sheets and blocking views.

Luke had been talking nonstop about how he was going to sneak a peak tonight. Nathan thought it was pretty bold given how Gabe would probably whack him upside the head with a paintbrush. And James?

Nathan was sure the girl would take him out with one of her glares. Or her taser? Honestly, James could be pretty scary and Nathan has had to deal with North when there are no vetagables in the house.

North could be extremely dramatic.

Victor: A family meeting? Did we have one tonight? I had the afternoon free I was hoping to spend some time with the girls minus the homework.

Nathan: ^ Agree with Victor here. I was gonna see if Sang wanted to swim.

Gabe: Yeah Kota. You can't steal the girls for the afternoon and then call a family meeting. Rude.

Nathan couldn't help but silently agree with Gabe. The girls spent last night with Oliver, Sean, and Owen going to pick them up, and then Kota sent a message saying the girls and him would be off the grid for the afternoon.

Something about a birthday present for North?

He couldn't help but be slightly annoyed but Kota stopped responding to messages shortly after the text. A frown slipped across Nathan's face, maybe the impromptu meeting was because something happened?
