When Chongyun heard the voice calling out to him, he dropped the glass shards in surprise. The sound of a rusted gate opening and screeches could be heard echoing throughout the dungeon.
Is it [Name] Or is it another of those creatures? The thought of that made his stomach twist.
He tried to say [Name]'s name but spit and blood were pouring from his mouth. Chongyun immediately covered his mouth, thinking that [Name] wouldn't notice him. After all, the chamber was far too dark for human vision.
His droopy eyes searched for something to make a noise so that [Name] could hear him. "Hey.. Hey.. Chongyun I'm here.. I'm so sorry.." Chongyun opened his arm as soon as he heard [Name]'s words. He was in desperate need of comfort.
When he tried to stand up, a searing pain in his ankle prevented him from doing so, and he fell forward. "Chongyun, please be careful.." [Name] went to catch the boy, but the latter recoiled.
"Chongyun..?"
Chongyun was terrified; what if it was all an illusion ? If he needed someone to console him, what's to stop thing from trying to imitate his friend? It's something they've done before. Chongyun crumpled to the floor as he attempted to crawl away from [Name].
His fear could be seen in his eyes as he urgently tried to flee as far as he could. His wounded palm on the ground aided him in crawling away, gathering germs.
His face was reddening from frustration, and tears were streaming down his face. The previous glass fragments eventually made their way to harming his palm since he didn't know where he was crawling.
As he turned and clutched his already injured hands, he groaned out in pain. Before shutting his eyes, he looked left and right.
"Please Chongyun.. I don't know what happened but please let me help.."
Chongyun's body trembled as he shook his head. His bloodied wounds open more and more as it starts to drip again as he kicks his feet in an attempt to push the other away.
Thankfully, his platelets worked faster as they tried to close up his wounds as a result of his vision and body adaptations.
[Name]'s heart was broken as he saw what was in front of him. He had no idea what had happened to the boy, but whatever it was had to have hurt him so badly that he might have died from blood loss.
[Name] moved carefully and in short steps to a nearby torch, which he lit with matches he found while digging among the corpses.
Chongyun shifted his gaze to the now-lit torch, which had [Name] right next to it. [Name] gently sits down near the light after removing his mask. "I'm not going to force you to come to me.." Chongyun needed time, he needed reassurance.
