What do I feel?
Have you ever sat on a beach
hypnotized by the rhythm
of the infinite waves?
There seems to be no beginning
and no end
and no visible sense of what drives them.
Or have you ever laid back staring
at a starry night sky?
And you can see it
in a child's eyes
watching fireworks bursting above -
it's that look
of awe!
You know its possessed many
a poet and artist.
That's what I feel,
looking at you,
and a sense of surprise...
looking at you
looking at me.
