The new semester was destined to be a busy one for the 2nd year students. The study load was more intense since the beginning of the semester. They were also expected to involve more in their student union for their respected majors. That year, Irene, the third year accounting student was elected as the student council president. Some said it was because she was pretty, some said it was because she was popular; but Jisoo, as her group mentee from last year, thought that was not the main reason. Irene was an intelligent student, socially and academically. She was a quick-witted, she could read the situation and establish respect and dominance naturally. Everyone liked her and she got things done.
"Daebak," Lisa was walking to the next class with Jisoo and Taehyung, "She has everything. Face, fame and family. Heard her dad is a judge."
"Yes, Tae, even the professors like her. I'm so proud to be her citizen."
"Future politician huh?"
"Or maybe a movie star lol, she can be anything she wants.'
"Meanwhile I just want to be a lump of slime this week, What a busy week."
They entered their classroom and picked the seat next to Jinyoung and Bona; the lecture would start in 10 minutes.
"Where is Soojoo?" Lisa checked her phone, "Don't tell me she didn't know we have a class now."
Jisoo and Taehyung were giggling.
"Guys, this year we'll have the welcoming party for freshmen at Jeju." Jinyoung told them.
"Significantly better than last year," Bona responded, "But don't you think it's a little bit late? Last year it was in the first two weeks. We're now almost in our fourth week already."
"The union decided to combine it with the Union reception ceremony." Jinyoung shrugged.
"It's better," Jisoo commented, "We don't need separated events anyway."
"Yeah I don't want to waste my time on these things."
"So you all will come?"
"I will. It'll be fun I guess."
"Where the fuck is Soojoo?"
