2. Is that Kendall Jenner?

Another question I saw recurring. Is Chaerin the main lead or Alison? Well, it will be clear as the story progresses!

"Do I have to come?", Chaerin sighed as she removed her glasses and looked up from making notes for a report she was reading.

"Of course!", Alison stomped her leg. "Taehyung's coming from Seoul and Jimin too. They want to see you. And our place is booked on the table"

"I don't want to see them", Chaerin rolled her eyes. "Taehyung doesn't stop flirting with me and Jimin's annoying. I cannot dodge him at family events because Mom and Dad insist I hang out with my 'cousins'. So any occasion where I get to avoid him, I do"

Alison laughed munching on a packet of chips. "Funny how you have said no to Taehyung every time he asks you out still he insists on trying. As for Jimin, that cousin of yours is annoying but he is Taehyung's best friend. They are joint at the hips and he is everywhere my brother is. He is fun when he is drunk tho"

"Plus there are going to be others too", Alison continued. "Taehyung's seniors from Yale are coming. He is best friends with them. I think their names are Namjoon and Hoseok. And there is Taehyung's classical musician friend. Min Yoongi, he is performing in the states and will be joining. And then Jin's coming. You know Jin right? Our uncle's son. Taehyung was their common link and he introduced them to one another and now its a tight group of seven"

"Wait seven?", Chaerin counted swiftly. "You just mentioned six"

"Oh yeah! Well the last guy I don't know. I mean Taehyung did talk about him, but I don't really remember. All I recall is that he is the youngest, he studied in NYC and recently joined some investment banking company on wall street. His father runs a pretty big private equity company back in Seoul. Dad's friends with him and that is how Taehyung knows this guy. He is always busy working so he has taken two weeks off to come see the boys"

"Great! Another rich one! Why do I always get stuck with people who's net worth have 'ions' in them?", Chaerin shook her head.

"Oh yeah", Alison laughed. "Taehyung's friends are always rich. Let me tell you about them. Jimin you know of course, his mother is your aunt. She runs her fashion label which literally everyone in Seoul is wearing right now and then his father owns a chain of cafes with 300 locations across the world. Jin and Taehyung, again, heirs to our company. Namjoon's father I think has the biggest law firm in Asia and his mother's an artist and curator whose own art collection is worth hundreds of millions. Hoseok's the sole heir to a $3 billion dollar tech company in Seoul. Everyone knows he is loaded, naturally because he made it to Forbes. Min Yoongi, he is crazy rich on his own because his piano concerts are always sold out. But apparently his mother is the Chairman of a construction company that makes malls and department stores. So he must be packed too. And well this unnamed guy we don't know is drowning in money as well"

"Why couldn't I make friends with people like myself who get excited when they see 1 + 1 on ice creams or walk 20 minutes to a farmers market to get cheaper onions", Chaerin asked.

"Bad luck I guess?", Alison stood up and threw her packet of chips to the side. "Let's get you a nice dress now. The restaurant we are going to has a strict dress code. You have to meet their standards because they have the right to refuse entry. And it will not look nice if all of us are sitting inside and then you have to eat at the hot dog stand across the street"
