Narcolepse was half asleep when Snow shook his arm to wake him. He smacked Snow's hand.
"What the hell, snowflake?"
"We're going out."
Narcolepse sat up. He was wide awake now.
"What?"
"They're sending us on a mission."
"No!"
"This isn't up for discussion, Narcolepse. It's happening."
Narcolepse shook his head.
"No. No. No! Do you not remember my vision?"
"Do you think you can change the future, Narcolepse? Have you ever successfully changed what happens in your visions?"
Narcolepse scoffed and shoved Snow back.
"Go! Go, then! Clearly nothing I say is going to change your mind. As fucking usual. What a surprise!"
Narcolepse saw the sadness and hurt in Snow's eyes. He turned his glare to the wall. He wasn't going to watch him be sad when he was the idiot. He had to open his eyes and realize that Narcolepse was right. Maybe Narcolepse couldn't change the future, but he sure as hell could try and try and try again until it worked. He didn't want the future he saw. Where they all lose.
"Narcolepse-
"Don't. Just leave."
Snow stood there a moment longer, then turned and left the room.
"Like everyone else..."
Narcolepse whispered and hid his face in his knees.
