TONYS POV
I stood in the doorway while the three of them danced together, each with so much love and happiness shown on their faces. When the song ended I walked in.
"Yall are cute" I started to make some coffee and inhaled the amazing smell of cookies in the oven. I made a mental note to come back in half an hour and get one. Steve and Natasha continued to dance, holding avery between them. They were like a perfect little family. It felt so wrong to take Avery away from them, its like she was their child.
"o, by the way, the kids mam can't get down here because of the storm so....yeah" I shrugged and walked out with a steaming mug in my hands. I rushed down to my lab.
"Hey Jarvis, call Happy"
"Hello?"
"Hey Hap, you cant come here today"
"What! I'm like 5 minutes out what do you mean"
"I don't know, I just, they're not ready to let go yet, just come back tomorrow ok?"
"What do I tell Avery's mother?!"
"I don't care, thats your problem, figure it out" I hung up and swivelled around in my chair.
I saw pepper standing in the doorway with a big smile on her face. "Antony Edward stark, did you just do something nice for someone else?"
"Uhh, no that was all for me, you see, uh, that was...me being selfish" I swivelled back around to avoid further questions.
"Sure" I could hear the smile in Peppers voice. I looked across the lab where I could see my old miniaturised arc reactor in its glass box, I read the words surrounding it.
