Morning after Moon

Hari opened her eyes slowly. Flicking the itchiness out of her ears and sniffing the air.

She was curled into Remus' side, tail wrapped around herself, sandwiched between him and Sirius. The large black dog's ears perked up as she shifted, but he didn't move.

Thankfully Hari's charm idea, of Remus's pants reappearing on him intact after his transformation had finished had worked, and he wasn't lying naked on the cold floor. The room was of course magically heated but pants were still a good thing to have.

She had only charmed his pants this time, as last time hmm really charm on his shirt and pants had mixed together and ended up swapping places, leaving Remus wearing a shirt as a skirt and ripped pants on his torso. You could repair clothing but it didn't work very well, the fibres refusing to re-align properly after too many times.

Hari stood up on her hind legs before transforming back in order to not disturb the two sleeping men, before pulling out her wand. She trailed her wand, as gently and lightly as possible, across the open wounds on Remus' chest, she couldn't heal them fully, but she could close them in a way that Remus could heal them himself the next day when he wasn't drained.

Sirius stood beside her, taking on his human form before gently picking Remus up in his arms, placing a gentle kiss on his forehead.

Hari cast a notice me not charm on the three of them and trailed along behind Sirius as he carried Remus down three flights of stairs and into his room. Hari pulled back the duvet for him and Sirius lay the exhausted man onto the bed. Sirius helped Remus pull a sweater over his head before lying down as well and Hari crawled in between the two of them, nestling into their chests.

[Sirius' POV]

Sirius watched as Hari summoned the cups of hot chocolate that she had Kreacher make every transformation, exactly for this moment. They appeared before them and Hari handed one to Remus, who sipped at it gratefully.

"Thanks cub." Remus said tiredly, " it's really nice to have you back."

Hari nodded, before changing back into a fox and climbing onto Remus' lap, body a loaf, head on his stomach, nose upwards towards his face.

It was incredibly cute and Sirius couldn't help but smile brightly at his boyfriend and their goddaughter. All his family, all together. He loved them so much.

The fox looked over at him, head tilted backwards at almost 180 degrees to her neck. She gave a big fox smile, happiness glowing in her cute emerald eyes.

Hari froze for a sec, and Sirius and Remus looked at her in confusion until she sneezed, shaking her head and making her ears flop back and forth.

He reaches out, scratching her head and she rolled over in Remus' lap so he could scratch at her stomach instead.

She continued to squirm around under Sirius' scratching nails, Remus chuckled, adorable face smiling in happiness. Sirius couldn't help but lean forwards and kiss him on the cheek.

Sirius shifted, making the blanket move around his feet. The fox part of Hari's brain seemed to see this, and, apparently deciding to listen to her fox instincts, she leapt out of Remus' lap, pouncing on the spot that had moved. Repeatedly diving headfirst into the blankets, she chased the foot that Sirius was now purposely moving.

There was a knock at the room, and Sirius called "who is it?"

"Fred!"

"And George!"

"Come in."

The twins pushed open the door to see Hari attacking Sirius' leg, which she had managed to get the majority of that blankets off of.
