The Big Day: (Criminal Minds) Request

Emily Rossi has been working at the BAU for 7 years now.

When she first joined the team, she was immediately drawn to a certain Dr. Reid.

Over the next 7 years they became very close. But the day everything changed was February 14th, 2012.

It was a normal day at the BAU.
Emily walked in, ready to start the day. She had also totally forgotten what day it was, Valentine's Day.

Emily loathes Valentine's Day, it is most likely due to her many failed attempts at a lasting romance. A few of those even ended on Valentine's Day, but the worst occurred the day before the 14th.

But today was different. She walked into the BAU, completely and utterly happy.

She smiled as Reid held the door open for her; giving him a small curtsy.

"Good morning, Babygirl.", He smiled.

"Sup Buttercup!", She replied.

They shared a quick laugh, as they walked in.

Spencer suddenly pulled out a bouquet of flowers and handed them to Emily.

"Oh! For me?", She asked dramatically.

He nodded shyly; biting his lip as her eyes skimmed over the carefully written note, attached to the bouquet.

Her face broke into a grin and she turned towards him.

"You know, Handsome, you could have just told me you like me.", She smirked.

Spencer went beet red.

"Can I tell you a secret?", She whispered and he nodded.

"I like you too!"

"Wait, really?", He asked.

She nodded biting her lip.

A sudden rush of confidence rose up in Spencer as he leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers.

She was shocked at first, but soon melted into the sweet kiss.

7 years later.....

February 14th, 2019

Today was the day. Emily was getting her hair and makeup done by her best friends, Emily Prentiss and Penelope Garcia.

"Oh, Em. You look stunning!", Penelope gushed.

Emily couldn't hide the blush, that was now forming on her cheeks.

"Nelly! Your too sweet.", She exclaimed with a chuckle.

Just then Prentiss walked into the room, with the dress.

"Is it time, already?", Emily asked earning a nod.

She took a deep breath and finished getting ready.

Spencer sucked in a deep breath as Derek clapped him on the shoulder.

"You ready, Pretty boy?", He asked.

Spencer nodded.

"Ready as I'll ever be.", He smiled.

Derek smiled too.

"Hey, Derek?", He asked.

"Were you... were you nervous? Nervous you would mess it all up, I-I mean?"
