"This one is locked too!" Talisa said. "Can't I just break it down?"

We had been running down the endless hallway, each door seemed to be locked, and we were now being chased by zombies.

"Scary! Why is everything here so Scary!" Becky sobbed as she tried the next door. It opened. But when I inspected it, it was going to the basement.

"No, they are locked for a reason trust me. And whatever you do, don't go down into the basement." I said as I quickly closed the door Becky had opened.

"What's wrong with the basement?" Becky asked.

"Where do you think all the zombies are coming from?" I warned.

"I don't see why we are running from them. Zombies are pushovers." Kaina sighed.

"Wrong. These zombies are extremely dangerous and should be avoided. Very dangerous in large numbers." I said as I ran down and found an unlocked door.

These weren't the typical Zombies that were just animated husks. These had glowing purple pustules the pulsed with magic. Each was a gacha machine of horror. When they were pierced the magic would be released and they might explode, they might turn into a bigger beast, they may splash acid everywhere, they may even evolve into a more powerful undead. They were just all sorts of bad spawned from the spaces between worlds.

"Amanda clear this room! Everyone hurry! This Way!" I shout.

We were just in time too. Something thundered and shook the ground as it raced towards us from the darkness in the direction we were heading. With my demon eye I was able to tell that it was a Fel Hulk, an undead creature that seemed to be powered by hellfire itself. A cheap knock off to one of Victor's creations but a troublesome monster all the same that took up the entire hallway and had a regeneration to rival mine.

As the girls were filling in the room, I traded the hatchet for one of the jars of blood I'd collected from the grappler. I shook it as I cast some blood magic on it. It would create an explosion of cutting wind, with water magic mixed in, and the shrapnel from the glass, it would create a devastating vortex of carnage. And it would be activated as soon as it was exposed to air and use up all the blood it came into contact with to lengthen the effect. So basically, it would start shredding the monster and wouldn't stop until it stopped bleeding. Yay, blood grenades. Time to send a message to whom it may concern.

I waited until the girls were inside and the spell was set. The jar glowed bright red, and I chucked it right into the face of the Fel Hulk. With barely enough time to spare I jumped into the room and slammed the door closed.

The sound of the wind magic buzzing, tearing flesh, rending the air, and shredding the corridor was like a dozen buzz saws cutting up a pig, and the sound of the Fel Hulk's pain was no prettier. Once inside the room I took another jar of blood. This time I opened it and splashed its contents against the door. Then to give some extra oomph to the spell I kicked the blood on the door with the sole of my shoe and the fringes of the blood splatter instantly stretched outward to the edges of the wall.

The best way I can explain the spell I did was that I used the blood to set up a barrier on the wall and door. It should have looked like a bunch of chains with a big lock in the middle. With my footprint as the symbolic keyhole. It was a very powerful blood seal that should keep both the zombie and the Hulk outside until the blood grenade finishes it off.

I gasped for air since those two spells weren't as easy or simple to cast as I made them look.

I turned around. "Amanda where are we?" I held the lantern up and saw that nobody was hurt nor was there any immediate danger.
