It was my first day at the Café. After I arrived, on time like I always did, I went to the register to get my uniform and a name tag. We had to make them ourselves, so I quickly scribbled my nick-name, Mattsun, and my pronouns, he/him, on it.

I worked for some time, mostly in the back, making the Coffee, until I had to take over the register. I really wanted to know if those rich people were like everybody said they were. It wouldn't surprise me if it was true.

At some point, there were some girls talking to me. I didn't know what exactly they wanted because as far as I knew, they already ordered something. If I didn't know it better, they were flirting with me. No, they were flirting with me. Really bad flirting. Something like that always reminded me why I was gay. Before I could tell them that I wasn't interested at all, I got called to the back. Finally, my shift was over.

"Let's go to the Café", I heard Oikawa call me. I knew he would say that. Still, I had hoped that he wouldn't. "You just want to check out the Barista", I truly responded. I knew he wanted to. I also knew that the barista was looking forward to seeing Oikawa again. I wouldn't tell him that though. He would just ask questions and get more suspicious than he already was. We were friends for so long that I knew his mind by heart. He was the only voice I could accept.

I wanted to tell him but I knew that he would immediately tell other people, not because he was a bad person but because he just couldn't keep secrets. It wasn't necessarily a bad trait because he really tried not to, but it was the reason why I couldn't tell him.
