Most of my characters names have meaning as I explained in Friends (My first one shot with Diamond) Diamond actually didn't actually have a name. But because of her reputation Other strays called her Diamond and the name just stuck. It's the same with Jade and the rest of my OCs as well here is what the mean.
Diamond: originated from Diamond in the rough.
Meaning: a person/animal who is generally of good character but lacks manners, education, or style.
How she got the name: Acting tough and being rude despite the fact that she has a soft spot for others under all that.

Meaning: the precious green stone said to transmit wisdom, clarity, justice, courage, and modesty
How she got the name: Being kind, wise and courageous and trying to help her pack through Fang's terror

Name meaning: small but dangerous
How she got the name: She got the name when she was one and accidentally injured Fang with her claws. Causing Fang to call her Thorn

How he got his name: By being passionate about math and wanting to change the pack for the better.

Name meaning: peacefulness rest calmness clarity gentleness
How she got her name: Dove was found a few month before Fang was taken. And was always cheery and innocent. And Thorn wanted to name her for that as hope for their future.
