Lore cursed. It was too cold to work outside, but the ship needed some serious work.

"Does that armour keep you warm?" asked Aula from where she was attempting to help, handing tools up to Lore who was on top of the Crest.

"Not warm enough."

"Well, you're probably in the best state out of all of us, just saying." He just grunted back. "Look, you're not the only one who's cold and tired and frustrated here. And just think, you don't have a brood of eggs to look after as well."

"No, but I've got you and the kid to look after."

"Well don't worry about me, I'm good - aye!" She slipped on an icy patch and landed hard on the frozen ground.

"Exactly my point."

"Ow," she grumbled, getting to her feet and rubbing her backside. "That's gonna leave a bruise, I just know it. And now my butt's all cold and wet!"

"Once again, too much information."

"I'm talking to myself here, you don't have to listen."

He talked to himself all the time, but he did it in his head, so no one else could hear - not that he usually had to worry about others hearing.  However, that situation had changed dramatically in the last little while.  "Here's an idea, why don't you go and talk to one of the others, maybe they're interested."

"Fine, I will - have fun fixing this mess. You're the genius who crashed us here on this giant icicle so if anyone should be fixing this, it should be you." She heaved a heavy sigh - her breath puffing out in a cloud in the air before her - and threw down the tool kit, wrapping her blanket tighter around herself as she headed back inside the ship. This cold and much less than ideal situation was making them all on edge.

Leo was trying to get Lore's attention.

"Not now kid!" Dejected, Leo waddled back inside.

But Aula noticed what was wrong.  "Uh, Lore - we've got a problem-" The lady and her eggs were gone.

Lore scanned the snowy ground for footprints and saw a path of them which they hurriedly followed.

The footprints led deep into the mountain side through a cave to a thermal bath where the lady was warming up.

"Oh, a thermal bath, that looks amazing," breathed Aula. She dropped to her knees and held her hands over the steam emitting  from the pool and instantly felt better.  "Ahhhh...." she sighed in contentment.

"There you are - you can't leave the ship, it's not safe out here. I know it's warm here, but night's coming fast and I can't protect you and your eggs out here."

They heard a squeal echoing through the cave, and Leo came waddling over as fast as he could, getting chased by an army of little spiders.

"Oh, Kid, what did you do..."
